Hi
Not sure if this is the place to post this. But my friends have just showed me this site
www.glossybox.co.uk
Looks quite good but I'm a bit skeptical. You fill in your profile and they send you 5 samples each month. My friend said they are of quite good sizes but it's £10pm and from next month they are charging for postage too.
What does everyone think?

I have been quite tempted to sign up for this actually so I've been keeping an eye on it (because I know it's a totally unecessary purchase but I still feel tempted!!). There are quite a few reviews out there from beauty bloggers etc on the contents (although they could have just been sent a 'special' one - who knows).
They do seem to be full sized samples from the pictures though.
I notice Latest in Beauty is now doing a similar thing but for £4.95 - I'm not sure if they are just larger samples or full sized bits though.0 -
I can vouch for Glossybox being good. For my birthday my friends clubbed together and said I can have Glossybox for a year on them.
I've had 3 boxes so far, all of which are fab. It seems to be that in each box you get at least 1 full size item and a few smaller sized items. They're all of decent size though - none of these freebie sachet things you get in magazines.
I love it and look forward to my box arriving each month for my next lot of goodies!0 -
The packaging looks brilliant! The latest in beauty £4.95 ones, is a one off special and it states the quantity you get in each. They do larger samples which gives free p+p but costs more than a £1, but again it states the size that you receive.0

thank you elisebutt65. I didn't realise there were others out there! i mean I love the idea but I bet I don't regularly spend £10 each month on beauty products lol. I'm not much of a make up person either.0

They've really only just started in the last 2 months and there's not much make-up actually involved, more 'beauty' stuff like moisturisers, perfume, body creams, and in the case of BP, luxury tea bags - very yummy green and white tea!!!
I regularly spend waaaay to much, but I do blog about it - or I did until the summer holidays started. Hopefully this will actually reduce my spending as I won't need to buy full size amounts.
But you can make up your own little treat boxes for friends for free. I regularly do the rounds of the beauty counters asking for free samples and most of them are fine if you're willing to sacrifice up to half an hour letting them play with your face :rotfl: Just remember not to give in to the hard sell - your face WILL not crack if you don't buy their products.
I'm actually saving up the beauty boxes for Xmas as they are lovely (along with all the ribbons and shredded paper in them) and then I'm going to fill them with personalised goodies for various people - Mum can get the anti-ageing stuff and SD's will get the younger ladies stuff and Dad can have men's smellies, for example. I'm quite unashamed when it comes to asking for freebies when I have no intention of ever buying the stuff - Littlie also helps as he goes round with his little poor boy face on and asks the SA's for some free perfume samples for his mum for Xmas:T:T:T He came out with a carrier bag full last time:rotfl::rotfl:Noli nothis permittere te terere

hahah I remember when I use to buy perfume and they would give you a bagful of sample perfumes, but not anymore. That was the perk anyway for me. 3 boxes a month sound a lot. I mean I wouldn't use the hair products either but love moisturisers perfumes and body creams...will definitel have to think carefully abou it!0

I'm really tempted to try one of these but cn't decide which one to go for.
I was thinking about ordering one then cancelling the subscription then doing the same next month with another company and so on. Are they easy to cancel and which companies are most recommended?0 -
