Ha! :rotfl: Don't worry, I don't think that you're rude. It's tricky to reply to everyone ;)

You're so lucky to be going to Morocco. :j I'd love to go :D I drink my version of mint tea most days (redbush, mint and honey :))

    Hi All,

I've just skipped across from No unnecessary toiletries thread. I see I'm in very good company. I don't sub to any monthly boxes at the moment, although I did get the recent LIB CEW/YOU box which I loved and I do have my eye on these things generally. I love reading what the other girls have had and their reviews of the products so will be calling in here now and again in future. Especially love the pics!

I caved in last week and subscribed to GlossyBox and She Said. I blame you all! :rotfl:Can't wait to see what arrives.

I've been following this thread for a while and I have a small suggestion. Maybe someone in the know could work out when people would need to cancel DD by so they don't get charged for another box and put it on the first post with the other offers. A lot of people seem to cancel and resubscribe to take advantage of the offers and I was thinking that would be helpful to have listed for people juggling boxes :)

Well this time I am going to be brave and go to a public hammam. Basically you take your soap/shampoo etc and then enter a big, hot room full of naked women (naked yourself of course). You cover yourself in black soap made from pressed olives - which is AMAZING for the skin - let yourself "cook" for a while and then scrub off all your dead skin with a rough mitt. If you go with friends or family, you scrub each other but you can also pay someone to scrub you, slosh water over you and then give you a bit of a massage.

I shall be getting someone to scrub me!

When I went to Marrakech last year I went to one of the posh, touristy hammams that is more like a spa. This time I'm going to go native. No frills, no fuss, just a proper, thorough clean.

If you see on the news "Moroccan women left mentally scarred by sight of naked flabby English woman falling flat on her face after slipping on soap" you'll know it's me! :rotfl:

the only problem with them is is they all just seem to decide when they want to charge you. its never on the same day each month and it has been nearly 3 weeks before dispatch with the worst offenders!

the only one thats the same day a month is amarya as far as i know, that recurs on the same day that you signed up on every month.

my rule was to cancel as soon as i received the box, just in case something was wrong with it or delivery so i was still a "subscriber" if i needed to contact them.

purplebutterfly, I'm so envious of your impending holiday. I hope you have a good time. Morocco sounds an interesting country to visit.

I've been using the Melvita Naturalift cream you asked me about for nearly 2 days now, and its the best cream I've ever used on my face (except argan oil night time).

I first used some Tuesday night, after first applying some argan oil. My skins a little oily at the moment, so felt a bit greasy, but the next morning, my skin looked, and felt good. I've been using on its own morning, and night since, and my skin looks great (for me anyway, as never been perfect).

Its pricey, approx £30 for 50ml, but I would consider purchasing, once I've used up my stash of creams.

I feel really stupid, I kept trying to spray the perfume sample from the amarya box, and only just realised, you dab on. D'oh! :o The scent is growing on me as is lovely, and light for summer.
New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!

    I've been Money Tipped!
I got shade 306 and it's lush! Perfume is really light, barely noticeable. Definitely cancelling GB after this box. Didn't check my emails & I've already been billed for it.

update: checked FB and people who signed up yesterday have been told that they will be getting the current May box, so I assume that I'll be getting that one too.

n010.gif Okay, so payment has been taken for She Said box and I have cancelled my subscription.

There is no "order history" section on the website so I thought I'd contact them, explain that I have cancelled and ask them to confirm that I WILL receive the box that I have paid for.

    Here's the reply:

Your cancellation can be confirmed, and you will receive the May box and should be due at the end of next week, or at the beginning of the week after.

I am confused. I assumed I would be getting the June box and that it was due around 3rd of the month as this thread shows people got their SSB box on 3rd May.

So, am I getting the June box - or a leftover May box? n010.gif n010.gif
