Galaxy S or Iphone

I guess* you mean S2, not S.
>>iPhone or Galaxy 2?
Also, you ask like the price makes no difference to you. I think you can get S2 cheaper than iPhone 4s, especially on a contract.
*EDIT: I could be wrong as I see that S is still available. In this case you really have to specify what iPhone you mean.0 -
I'd love to get real feedback as to which is the better handset and therefore the best one to get.
All comments appreciated please.
I'm not experienced enough to know which is the better handset. Can only say that I researched carefully and was won over by many positive reviews for the Samsung Galaxy S2 and its high specification. Decided to buy one, sim free, so I can choose what I pay for phone calls and data. Yes, it cost me £395 for the handset but no 24 month contract and for data can use many free wi-fi locations increasing all the time.0 -
Is iPhone 4s better than the Samsung Galaxy S2? Yes, it is.
While the Samsung Galaxy S2 is one of the best smartphones to emerge from Team Android so far, it's over a year old now and there are newer, better Android phones arriving.
The iPhone has the edge, largely thanks to its impressive Retina display which not only looks good when browsing the web and viewing videos, but is also superb for games. Although smaller than the S2's screen, the resolution is pin sharp, while the Samsung's large screen means that the handset isn't quite as compact.
Also some on demand tv apps are not available for android os.
The satnav tomtom is for iPhone only.
The os update can take 3 to 6 months from the release date for S2 where else same day for all current iPhones.
Due to many screen size not all apps work with all android phones.0 -

This is a very difficult but personal choice. Both are very good phones and offer individual pros and cons. Best way to find out what one you like is to play with both instore. Good luck.0

The Goodman with the same old, same old Ispaz bumph
you will get the S2 for less
however, most of this is personal taste
I found the S2 a wee bit too thin for me
stunning screen and plenty of oomph
go and have a fiddle with both and see what suits0 -

I found the screen on the S 2 better for TV,games and web better because the screen is bigger.
TV apps for Android - TVCatchup,Sky Go,BBC iPlayer,ITV Player,Crackle,Netflix and 4OD is optimised via the browser which isn't a bad thing.
OS updates are pushed out as they are released for the phone from the OEM's. Network locked handsets do see a delay but that is down to the networks.
CoPilot is available if you neeed a sat nav.
The S 2 is a year old now but it already had a dual core processor, the HTC One X looks very nice and if the rumours on the S III are to be believed that should be a great device.
I would also say that the ability to not have to have the need for itunes to sync music and other files, drag and drop is important to people.
Sadly, the days of Apple being the best ended back in 2010,they still market them very well though.
You can't say the iPhone is better just because of a Retina display.
Another winner for me is drag and dropping. You don't need iTunes to sync music and films. Simply plug your phone in and drag files to your phone. If you do have music on itunes, doubletwist will take care of that. Allshare player will also play media to your tv,xbox etc over a wifi network as will airsync.0 -

My husband and his S2 are inseparable, I'd see him more if he'd found a mistress, lol.
It's a real good phone, we got a 2 year Orange Panther26 contract, plus I got his old Blackberry and our son got mine, so everyone's happy.
