While the Samsung Galaxy S2 is one of the best smartphones to emerge from Team Android so far, it's over a year old now and there are newer, better Android phones arriving.
The iPhone has the edge, largely thanks to its impressive Retina display which not only looks good when browsing the web and viewing videos, but is also superb for games. Although smaller than the S2's screen, the resolution is pin sharp, while the Samsung's large screen means that the handset isn't quite as compact.
Also some on demand tv apps are not available for android os.
The satnav tomtom is for iPhone only.
The os update can take 3 to 6 months from the release date for S2 where else same day for all current iPhones.
Due to many screen size not all apps work with all android phones.
What if the OP considered the Sony xperia S ?
Higher res display than both iphone and S2
higher res camera
Which on demand TV apps are not available? That can only be a loss for the developer.
Would already come with ICS.
Sat nav apps are already available as TT is not the benchmark version. And not forgetting the superior audio quality of FM radio vs streamed audio plus NFC.0 -
Another winner for me is drag and dropping. You don't need iTunes to sync music and films. Simply plug your phone in and drag files to your phone. If you do have music on itunes, doubletwist will take care of that. Allshare player will also play media to your tv,xbox etc over a wifi network as will airsync.
Id consider having to manually drag and drop your content a minus. Having iTunes do it automatically for you is a big plus!0 -

Does it sync everything and do a full device backup like iTunes does for the iPhone?0 -

One way of looking at it is you're not dependent on iTunes, you can still use ituns but an iphone must use it. KIES will back everything up, contacts, pictures, video etc etc0 -

Music, videos, podcasts, photos are the main ones. Well you'd linked to a third party program so I was wondering whether that did a full device backup too.0 -

The same as 'like a Golf'. If you can buy a Golf, why buy other cars that can move you from A to B with the same (or higher) speed, comfort and reliability, but at a lower cost?0
