People are funny aren't they?
I have a friend who will not buy books from a charity shop cos she thinks they might have 'germs'! She will happily borrow books from the library though!!

OH and I had been wondering what to get DD (13 yrs) for Christmas. I suggested maybe a guitar as she has been teaching herself ukulele tunes over the summer holidays with the aid of youtube. She also plays piano and alto sax. He thought it was a good idea as she doesn't really 'need' anything. That afternoon I took a trip to the local CS to drop off a box of donated clothes DD has grown out of and there was a guitar for £11.99. Christmas is sorted - apart from a set of new strings and a how to play book which shouldn't be too hard to source.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

My local CS have just put out all the winter items so I had a rummage in the scarf basket and found myself a lovely soft M&S merino wool & cashmere scarf, it's as new and only 50p. I will definitely enjoy the cosiness over the winter.0

I bought a new Dorling Kindesrly book about Mexico. It was 99p.
Can't believe my luck as we're going there in February and I would have bought a guide book for £16 or thereabouts from Lonely Planet or Rough Guide.0 -
At the weekend went to see dd down south and had a rummage in the cs . I got a lovely Paul Smith scarf as new for £7.99 which is a bit expensive but new it would be over £200. It will go with my navy Burberry trench coat that I got at a local cs for £10. I also bought a large cardboard jewellery box to decopatch for £1.990
