A M/S classic padded coat for 15.99 from Oxfam RRP 45 pounds. It arrived today and looks like it has never been worn. :j
Also a pure new wool coat that again looks to have never been worn for 6.99 from charity shop.
That's my winter coats sorted.0 -
No good local shops near me, used to be 1 that was cheap but closed down so only the big names now that charge stupid amounts for things.
In the past though I lived somewhere which had a cheap furniture place, I got a reclining armchair for £1, wardrobes for £2 or £5, fold up bed £5, another armchair £3, sofa £5
Only bad thing was just before I moved from there they stopped having volunteer drivers which used to charge £15 for up to 6 items and went with a local movers that charged £30 for 3 items and minimum charge for £30 and £10 extra every 1 other item and so I stopped going there.
I remember years ago buying a designer mens shirt, think it was Dolce and Gabbana for £3, still have it but piled on the weight since then.
I miss the days when charity shops were cheap and jumble sales were everywhere, that was where I got all my video games or clothes growing up.0 -
A full years worth of Good Food Magazine £1.50. Love these magazines. Very happy0

Today's trip to the community chazza shop found me an M & S yellow T shirt, as new, scoopy neck and elbow length sleeves, (as I get older I lurve these as they hide the upper arms
)....75p
Then I found an amazing pair of lined curtains, 90" x 70", good quality, light mushroom background with huge stylised flowers in a mulberry shade...perfect match for my leather sofa and sitting room rug. As new with no faded edges....a great buy I thought at just £6. This afty I put one up to see what they might look like and I'm not at all sure about them now. My existing curtains are a very pale cream and the new ones (well, new to me!) seem to make the room look darker. Will leave it a couple of days and see if they grow on me as if I keep them I would have to get a new curtain pole which will probably cost an arm and a leg. Aaaaarrgghh, decisions decisions!!

A crystal bell for 50p, much needed for our meeting room as the old one broke in two when one of the gents rang it a bit too enthusiastically!0

Was hoping to find heavy jumper in the small but excellent charity shop near where my mam lives. One of the helpers was saying that they have had very few come in .. people are holding onto their warms clothes around there.
I did get a pair of good quality very clean bedroom slippers. I had been looking for these for a while so very happy about that. These will keep my feet warm during the day around the house and avoid extra oil heating being needed. I wrap up well and my hooded dressing gown is worn as well. lol
Also a lovely pair of Laura Ashley little low heel court shoes. Very pretty.0 -
I only went out to post a birthday card....honest!
But it was such a nice day I walked a bit further and ended up in the community charity shop where I found, on the reduced to £1 or under rail, a pair of BNWT Artigiano brand, sand coloured, heavy linen, straight legged trousers reduced to £1. Never heard of the make but thought, mistakenly, i might be like Atmosphere is to Primark - in other words a cheap chain store label. Anyhow, just done a bit of Googling and found the exact same trousers online....selling for £99
I feel really guilty now for not paying more.....0 -
I've had quite a few good finds recently in Lincoln. A BHS cream wool coat for £5 that looks like it has never been worn, it is immaculate. A red and white polka dot cath kidston bag for £2. A beautiful next wool skirt for £3 that looks nice with thick tights. and a Dorothy Perkins jumper for £2. I'm sure I've had a few only bits but I can't remember. We have a charity shop that has recently opened up, it looks like a boutique and stocks a lot of more formal wear. I'm sure most people don't realise its a charity shop and walk straight passed, I've found quite a few bargains in there and it's far cheaper than most in town.November GC-£128.30/£200

This is my favourite hobby charity shop shopping.
Currently I am covered head to toe in charity shop clobber apart from the underwear and socks:
Navy jeggings, navy and white stripey top, blue cardigan more towards the navy spectrum and fuschia body warmer. I love this outfit and so comfy.
Labels don't matter to me as I used to be a Garment Technologist as I know different labels get made in the same factories which is why I haven't mentioned them.
It seems to be mostly apparel noted on this thread as indeed it is mostly clothes I find. Are there any other types of "find" without having to read the whole thread although interesting to me.
I also recently found blue and white stripey cereal bowls which go amazingly well with what I have already.
All the CS seem different depending on there management style but couldn't recommend anyone because it depends on my finds.
Can someone tell me where to go and what to look for I need a challenge?0
