Went into town for the first time in ages to scout the c shops.
Nada from the Cancer Research, but the other small, local ones had better results.
Disney Store Olaf soft toy - 75p. My pooch is very pleased with it.
Kiss Spaceman Hello Kitty Toy - £1 (I wouldn't normally spend so much on a toy, but I love Kiss and it was adorable so thought I'd treat myself)
The Help (Can't remember the authors name) - 20p
Another book for £1 (another big spend for me), but it was a hardback, and I was drawn in by the mystic blue cover with a centaur on it.
Small sunflower cross stitch set - 50p
Two cross stitch chart books - 50p each. Both full of super large projects I have no idea where I'm going to find the time for. They are of nutcrackers and birds of paradise.
Think that's all. Had a quick browse of the clothes but nothing took my fancy. Eagerly awaiting the proper bringing out of all the Christmas stuff, I love rooting through the decorations.

Last year I bought a multicoloured glass candle holder for £3 from a charity shop because it was unusual.

A holiday to Malta later and I've discovered it's Mdina glass and worth £20!

Kathyrn Stockett. This is one of my favourite books, and one I think everyone should read. Hence I buy it wherever I find it in the chaz (usually for £1!) and give it away to those that haven't read it, and encourage them to pass it on when they are finished.

Most chazzers in my area have had their Christmas stock out since last month!

An "end grain" wooden chopping board. The expensive kind made up of lots of little, blocks glued together. Supposed to be less blunting on the knife. £3.00 about £30 new.
I had to sand it and oil,it. Now it's so beautiful,,I'm thrilled.

Just back from holiday - virtually everything I took came from charity shops and I felt pretty well-dressed (if I say so myself. :o)

The only good thing about coming back from holiday is that I have lots of charity shops to investigate their new stock. :T

I only went out to post a birthday card....honest! :o

But it was such a nice day I walked a bit further and ended up in the community charity shop where I found, on the reduced to £1 or under rail, a pair of BNWT Artigiano brand, sand coloured, heavy linen, straight legged trousers reduced to £1. Never heard of the make but thought, mistakenly, i might be like Atmosphere is to Primark - in other words a cheap chain store label. Anyhow, just done a bit of Googling and found the exact same trousers online....selling for £99

I feel really guilty now for not paying more.....

I posted a while ago about an Artigiano dress that I bought, the label says 'made in Italy'.

A fuchsia pink dress by Artigiano (Italian). Almost maxi length with panels that flare out at the bottom, very flattering design with a V-neck and no sleeves. £2.00
    Seems pretty well made.

    Love reading this thread!

I got a new tagged Sainsbugs snowsuit for my soon to be born son for £3, I bought the exact same one for my other son last year (different size obviously!) from Sainsbugs for £16!
  • Found a Isle Of Wight Studio glass vase in the Sue Rider shop in town. Cost £10, worth at least £70. I'm thrilled as I already have some IOW pieces bought from the old glassworks in St Lawrence.
