No, I didn't my point was you can't make that comparision as the OP is not on JSA so in this instance it is not relevant. It may be relevant to some but not to this post in particular, get it now?
No it was your post that is irrelevant, and still is. You missed the point and still are doing so.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

I didn't miss the point it was that to some people £45 is a lot of money for a meal especially to those on JSA. On this thread no one as far as I know has said they are on it, certainly not the OP.0 -

JSA was obviously used as an example of a low income, no one except you mentioned the possibility the OP was on it.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

If we're talking analogies, £45 is almost an entire weeks' worth of JSA.
I would hope someone on JSA wasn't having meals outSave £200 a month : [STRIKE]Oct[/STRIKE] Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar Apr0 -
JSA was used as an example.
I could just as easily have gone for NMW - there you'd be talking about a day's wages.
It's blindingly obvious that you are paying for premises, staff, etcetera.
By analogy, a Swiss made watch is (in part) as expensive as it is due to the large amounts of R&D required, the skill of the watchmaker, and the precision manufacturing.
That doesn't mean that it's affordable or "reasonable" for most to pay.Said Aristippus, “If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.”
Said Diogenes, “Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.”0 -
Well done Bex. Sounds like it worked out all round and no one was left too out of pocket and no one had their feelings hurt. Perfect! x0
