What's your OH going to do when your oldest son decides that he has had enough and leaves home? Because it will happen! Who will your OH control when your second son leaves home?

You know that there are serious control problems in your family - are you prepared to do anything about them?

Why was your son buying food from his own home?

And why are the parents making a profit as a pack of 24 flakes is £6.99 so that would be just over 29p each so 58p for 2 and the kid has to pay £1!!!

Same here, everything gets split. If we get a multipack of crisps, then we each get one of each flavour, if we get 6 tins of coke then we each get 3. It's very fair and there's no getting angry because someone has had more of something than the other.

If it is causing so much of a problem - as was suggested last time you raised the subject - STOP BUYING THE TREATS AND STASHING THEM AWAY!

Just buy them as and when needed/wanted!

People are really bothered about it all being totally equal? I can understand if you have kids ensuring its 'fair' between them but I had no idea adults counted out bags of crisps/ bars of chocolate. We clearly have an issue-OH just came home with 3 creme eggs.....

in our household generally if someone wants it they eat it, if there is none left you wait till there is. Not for special buys but for things like crisps, biscuits etc

I do have occasions when ive said no to one of our children as i feel they perhaps have eaten more than their 'share' of something, like if we had a pack of 2 cakes and he had 'his' the day it was bought but the other child didnt fancy it, i wouldnt then let the child that had his cake have another the next day, the remaining cake would be saved for the child who hadnt had one.

I can also see me getting to the point of charging for extra, but only because some days i think the 'treats' get out of hand, but the charge would more than likely come in the form of a chore rather than actual cash

When we were kids it was every man to himself. Although when they were gone they were gone. Except I always remember the cheese & onion crisps were the last to go.
