    Hello everyone,

this is a treat for me - middle of the afternoon posting during the week! Am on a 4 day weekend starting today, so not back to work until tuesday! :D

The WM and TD have been on already - weather isn't great here just now: seems to have been raining for days. Need to get another wash on again soon - probably just as soon as I have a cuppa :) Have to decide what's for tea as well - maybe macaroni, which I have only made from scratch once before so am going to try the microwave style of making the cheese sauce which I saw here the other week.

Other than that, not a huge amount going on. Doing some sewing just now which is nice - haven't had a sewing project for a while. Got some lovely threads and bookmark material yesterday so I have a choice of what I want to do :j

Taplady - *hugs* to you and your DS: hope things go as easily as possible
Blairweech - *hugs* for you too and hope things get sorted out
Gingham - your baby is absolutely gorgeous! I'm away to join everyone who is still in the broody corner - it must be getting busy there now ;)
rchddap - good to hear baby lily is doing well
kyle - your hair is lovely
moggins - good luck with your course!
    Hello to all new people!

Sorry I can't mention everyone - *hugs* to you all if you need one.

*hugs* to everyone - take care all!

Hi to everyone on the OS board today,
Have been to the dentist with OH, and have to go back for a scale and polish next month. Also treated us to a breakfast in Wetherspoons. Have been to local WI market for some home grown veg. and have made an Irish stew for tea tonight.
Hope you all have a good day - POwie

  • Afternoon everyone :j

At work as per normal, counting the minutes till 3.00pm  It's not that I don't like my job, it's just I wish the weekend had started IYKWIM.

I wasn't happy with the bread my breadmaker was making, so I bought myself a 2lb loaf tin and put the machine on to "do" the dough and then put it in the tin and left it to rise and cooked it in the oven - well it was delicious :D I popped to my local Somerfield where they sell Tchibo stuff and bought myself some of their bread bags for £3.50. Any breadmaking guru's out there know how I can get a loaf the size of a (dare I say it) shop bought one  For sandwich making :D

Kyle - your hair looks great :D

Blairweech - chin up chicken - thinking of you

Taplady - my thoughts are with you - good luck tonight

Katiekoo - your boys are gorgeous

    (((((hugs)))))) to everyone else
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
  • On another note I was wondering if anyone could help. I'm starting Slimming World again on Monday and I've also been following the meal planning threads with interest. So my question is, has anyone done a meal plan whilst being on SW?

Any help would be fab

Hi, Tinkerbell! No experience of SW, but there is a thread on menu planning:- Weight Watchers (no count)

Is that any good? If not PM me, and I'll dig some other weightwatcher-y menu planning threads out.

  • Afternoon all :)

Kyle - Love the hair, the colour is lovely!

Taplady - Special hugs to you

KatieKoo - What lovely lads you have :) Don't worry about being demented - i am too! :rotfl:

(((Hugs))) to those that need them today

Got a list of things to do today, about halfway through it. Had to make some calls about gas and electric checks for the house that we're buying (hopefully!), just waiting on the solicitor to arrange a date for signing the contracts :) So excited!!!

Finally spent my Next giftcard from Xmas, have bought a lovely white pasta set with 4 bowls and a serving bowl - now i'll have to feed the peeps pasta all week to show them off! I love buying stuff for my house, esp the kitchen.

    B - Shreddies, juice, tea
D - HM Carrot and Lentil soup with cheese on toast
T - Pizza (bought base, own toppings - am determined to make my own base next time!), baked potato and salad

Have a good day all, take care

Good afternoon everyone. What a joke with regard to my shopping list. I ended up going to Aldi`s as its walking distance and took the buggy i used to use for my son. I basically walked around and just picked up what i thought i would like.We do have a dinner tonight though. I havent unloaded the dishwasher yet and yet here i am on-line again. I am looking forward to relaxing and watching tv tonight and the rest will have to wait. One thing i do have to do is sort out dd`s room as she is back from uni for the week-end.better go and do that now. ttfn Love Elaine.

    Hello all!!

Like Stressedoumomof1 I am counting the minutes until 3 when I leave for the school run, then a trip to the pet shop to get a replacement fish for DS. He and DD got 2 each in half term and one of DS's died the following day. He was heartbroken but they were guaranteed so we can get a replacement for him. While I'm there will pick up my packet of Sainsbury's free sweet potatoes from their Five Drive to make some soup with I think. The batches of soup I made last weekend have gone down really well this week, DH loves the brocolli and stilton and I had to bring some lentil and bacon in for my colleague after she tasted mine.

Have done my meal plan so will shop tomorrow. Will also make Choc Fudge pudding as my dad is coming down with his wife and my grandma. You may remember he was very ill towards the end of last year and we were told to prepare ourselves for the worst. I haven't seen him yet but he sounds good and seems to be getting back to normal. The man has the constitution of an ox!!! I am looking forward to seeing him. I do remember how wonderful everyone on the board was back then and it was such a traumatic time I don't remember if I said thank you for everyones kind wishes and prayers so, Thank you all!!!!! You're wonderful.

I have quite a lot of batch cooking to do over the weekend (not really a chore though as I love to be in the kitchen). Kazonline, I took inspiration from you and your DS yesterday and stood back and let DS make the salad last night. He loved it and the salad was great, I will get him to help out this weekend with the batch cooking. We have sis in law and nephew for tea on Sunday so will do some baking too.

I haven't been able to read a lot of the thread as I'm at work and some of the pages are being blocked by our firewall / filter which says "!!!!!! detected" Now I know you can be a smutty bunch on occasion but it's hardly !!!!!! is it!!!

So I'm sending hugs to all in need and wishing everyone a lovely weekend.

    Hello Everyone!

Went back to work today - only to find that the guy had got off his backside and gone in yesterday and has now locked me out of the computer! so I couldnt do any work and had to come home - I have emailed big boss in dubai and will have to wait now as to what will happen:confused: .

So instead of coming home and being good and doing housework etc -what have I done? - Got SUCKED into watching Jeremy Kyle:eek:  (I really have hit rock bottom)

kyle - you hair looks lovely! (i noticed the stardrops too!) Ive got to wait till 1st march for my hair appt - so its "Split-end Lil" for a while yet:D

rchddap1 -glad lily is doing well x

frugalfairy - Well done on the job initiative:T you dont sound to upset by it all so must have done the right thing, sure something else will turn up.

taplady - umm, yes Im tending to agree on yr assumption about yr DS, trying to keep his gf - but when it comes to yr kids you cant help but worry
I would be the same. As you know you hve to keep an eye on him for awhile, but I hope things will be ok for you both xx

blairweech - Obviously dont know why OH threw you out, - you said you had contacted ex BF - there's obviously a reason why you did - so maybe something is not right for you? hope things get sorted out for you xx

penpen - enjoy your meal! Had to laugh at the GO,GO,GO from Peem? A family on Relocation last nite moved out to the country and she had a chicken coup!!! thought of you!!

awww sorry pp but lets be honest here - you have been through a number of cleaners and none have been able to meet your standards :rotfl:

I wouldn't mind but this last cleaner was Anthea Turner herself:eek: the TV work has dried up and she need to earn a few sheckles;) She called me from Turner Mansion a few minutes ago sobbing her heart out that she couldn't meet PP's uber-high standards:rotfl: and having now experienced true domestic paradise she realises her own place is a filthy hovel :rotfl: :D

We need to get PP running the cleaning corp of the NHS, MRSA et al wouldn't stand a chance LOL

    Helloooo everyone!!! ((((((((hugs)))))))) blairweech!

Been a good girl, not overspent and haven't bought rubbish stuff this week. :A

Oh, when I got home today there was a nice cheque waiting for me: my tax rebate! A nice tidy sum which will all go into my ISA, except for a couple of hundred pounds which I want to keep handy.

I'm planning to do a clear out of my CDs but I doubt there will be much I want to get rid of, as I like my music too much. Still, it will all be tidier. I'll have to wait until Sunday, because tomorrow I'm going to Windsor on an assignment and by the time I get home I shall want to just put my feet up.

Heavy week ahead, starting Monday, with a big two week project taking over most of the weekdays. Still, the extra money is always usefull. :D

Have a good evening everyone! :j
