    Hello all
Kyle, love the hair :D , mine is exceedingly straight at the moment since I'm testing a new leave-in hair conditioner for a consumer panel. Last week we tastes sweetcorn samples with the kids, apparently some company is trying develop small sweetcorn tins for lunch boxes.
Off to town now; library, post Amazon orders and have a little cup of tea with mum ( very nice antiques centre cafe just nearby...;) ).
Arrggh, really need to go now since I have lost all feeling in my legs. Our puppy is so exhausted after this morning's walk, she is snoring on my lap. Have a good day all, will check this thread later.

me too! my hair would be like a poodle if I didn't use hair wax everyday:eek: all my friends with straight hair envy me with a bit of wave but I think you can do so much more with straight hair, mine has just one style and thats it!

Thanks guys for all the ((((hugs)))):T :T :T I really appreciate them, was a bit tearful earlier when I saw my uncle(Dads brother) in the street as he looks so much like my lovely Dad did. I just dont know what to make of DS, I think he's made it all up about the depression but dont know for sure. Felt so sorry for him this morning as he doesn't know his GF is going to finish it tonight. Have hidden all the tablets in the house as a precaution.
Hopefully my reflexology will help me to relax a bit, am stopping off at my best friends for a chat on the way home.

PP- hope your DD feels better soon XX seems like MATH was right about your addiction to shepherds pie:rolleyes: :D

off to wash my hair now after my trim, am too tight to have a blowdry!;)

Hope everybody is keeping well. Taplady - Hope everything gets sorted out for the best. The only thing you can do now is just get ready to pick up the pieces if need be. :(

    Best wishes, anyway. xx

  • Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well. I am not feeling too clever this morning, I feel a bit shaky and weird - but I don't think it's anything too serious. I've been feeling like this since last night when I overdosed on sugar (big packet of fudge and 1 litre full sugar lemonade and no tea :o - I know!) and went to bed feeling all jumpy and with my bump feeling all heavy and hard - I'm now going to cut out sugar for a few days/weeks - because I am a heavier person anyway - I am already at risk of developing gestational diabetes which I definitely don't want - so am seeing this as my warning!

I have just had a meeting cancelled for this evening so will be able to plan a night on the sofa with the cats, no football tonight on the tele as OH is out - yay!

This weekend's plans include some maternity clothes shopping (I can't afford it, but needs must), paying my NCT deposit for antenatal classes, heading with a friend to a v. posh spa for a free swim (!), cleaning, having a 'family' meeting with OH, phoning the mortgage provider to arrange a payment break(didn't do this last night as they are only open to existing account holders until 5pm during the week and can't call from work as work in an open plan office) and going to visit my neighbours and their new baby with a homemade knitted baby jumper which I need to sew up.

kyle - lovely piccie, you look gorgeous and you have given me inspiration for my haircut in a couple of weeks

Blairweech - I am thinking of you - sounds a drastic reaction to an email - do you know what he read?

Peem - did you book your holiday?

    Love

    Valentine xxx
  • Hello all, day two of making the effort to stop lurking.:p

I'm fairly strapped for time today so just a quick shout-out bearing in mind I don't really know anyone yet.....someone has lovely hair in a similar style to mine except mine is a stunning shade of mouse. Someone has a gorgeous baby, don't worry about the tears - perfectly natural and absolutely maddening at the same time.:) Someone must be worried sick about her son - so awful when you don't have all the information. Someone elses son is finding it hard to settle at school - it's taken mine a good while to settle too and I found the best thing was to thrust them into a social life ith school mates at the weekends, gave them some common bonds and helped them feel accepted.

You all must sit with a pad and write down members names!:rotfl: I'm hopeless!

Anyway, I have just packed up the cousins stuff and although I love them I will be so glad to see them go. A week is too long to allow one childs internet addiction to rule the house.:( I feel so sorry for the lad, he cries at the drop of a hat and the only thing that cheers him up is playing electronic stuff. I put my foot down very gently on the second day (PC games are what we do in winter when it rains, not on sunny days by the seaside) and he collapsed into hysterics. Went on for hours and frightened all the other kids badly. His mum in Dubai said that he plays from 7am to midnight and thats alright because he has marvelous concentration. Jesus wept.

Anyway, found a piccy of me and mine and thought it might be easier to put a face to a name.:) Have a good day all.

(Pics removed to protect the innocent.:) )
    Katie.
