  • I've received a defence from Cobbetts and a letter asking for further info and clarification etc etc...I'm a bit confused as to what they are asking for? Also I've had a Notice of Transfer of Proceedings stating that the allocation questionaire has been dispensed with?????? What does this mean?
I am getting extremely worried that I'll have to go to court:eek:

Does anyone know what dates they are up to on paying out. By that I mean that previous posts had said 7-8 weeks from eg week of 4th April. My confirmation letter was dated 26th April and, following a phonecall was told 7-8 weeks from then. I'm just wondering whether it is worth a follow up call.

My letter was dated 10th April and I received full payment this morning ( 5 days before the full 8 weeks were up ). Hang tight I`m sure they`ll pay up eventually :)

I phoned RBS yesterday and was told an offer will be made on 22nd June. Not sure why they are holding back on making the offers when they know they are going to do it anyway!!! If they've already made the decision, why not just go ahead and make the offer??

Hi KiLty, I am awaiting the offer you have received and wondered if you could tell me if you have been paid or just been made an offer? My letter was dated 6th april and I havent heard anything! I am trying to find out if anyone can tell me how long it takes between getting the offer and actually having the money in the bank! congratulations on getting yours back....it does raised morale to hear things are moving along.

I was about to file with MCOL today (been waiting for payday so I could pay the fee) when this morning I received an offer for £1949.92 along with the usual, "the charges were fair, we accept no fault, goodwill gesture", letter. This is the total claim minus the interest. I am accepting this, the interest would of been nice but I can't see a court being sympathetic if I was to refuse a payment in full. Also, I asked for the interest as a haggling measure anyway.

One final question for anyone who's ever accepted an offer like this, how long do RBS tend to take to issue the cheques upon signing the agreement?

Finally I just want to thank everyone who's posted any advice or tips and especially Martin Lewis, your an inspiration.

RBS down, 2 other accounts with other banks to go!
    Claimed: RBS Charges £1949.92 + £673.63 interest, Total £2623.55. A&L PPI £461.69 + £115.50, Total £577.19
Won: RBS £1949.92 :T (Settlement, no interest). A&L PPI £577.19!!!

    HI

Got offer from RBS today for full amount of over £4000 from 4 closed accounts. Like most people got the bog standard letter. Now to wait for returned monies. To everyone out there stick with it you will get a result.

    Best of luck.:j
