No its a standard letter that all of the banks are putting out, you need to send your next letter now.

I'm new to this so sorry if this has been answered before,
I send my initial letter asking for my bank chages back 2 weeks ago to HSBC total £2126.23 (that's including interest), I have received a letter back today saying they are looking in to the matter. I have just rang them as they don't give a date or anything as to when they will contact me again, I was told they have 8 weeks.
Is that correct or should I send the second letter saying I will take them to court if I don't hearing anything in 2 weeks?
Also do any of these cases actually go to court?
    Thanks for any help

SEND YOUR NEXT LETTER NOW ... THEN WAIT YOUR WEEK AND GO TO COURT

HSBC SEEM TO HANGING IT OUT (AS THEY ARE DOING WITH MINE) IN THE HOPE THAT POOR PEOPLE (AGAIN LIKE ME) CANT AFFORD TO TAKE THEM TO COURT BEFORE THE OFT RULING .. OR CANT AFFORD TO TAKE THEM TO COURT FULL STOP!!

GOOD LUCK WITH IT ALL XX

AND NO I THINK 99% OF THE BANKS ARE PAYING BEFORE THEY ACTUALLY GET TO COURT HUN X

You'll find the template to the second letter, letter before action, in Martin's article where you give them 14 days to refund your charges or you will take them to court.

I've just received RBS's reply to my request for repayment of charges plus interest.

They have offered to pay me the difference between the amount they charged and £12 per transaction, but they have only offered to make a credit to my account (which I never use as I don't even have a card)!

I see no reason to accept this, so is my next step to send a final demand before court action? If so, do I have to allow them 14 days to reply?

They very helpfully sent me a booklet about complaining to the Financial Ombudsman Service. I presume that they would prefer this to being taken to court, but is it also something that they can bring up in court to say that I was being unreasonable if I didn't use it?
