Hi can anyone give me some advice please. I started proceedings against RBOS sending the original request on 9th Feb, reminder on 5th March and have not heard anything not even an acknowledgement, I was thinking of sending 'letter 6' now offering to take a lower amount than the charges amount to, should i do this or go straight to the court proceedings?? Has anyone had any success with RBOS and did you have to close your account?, Also, the original amount of the charges only went upto 5th Jan, should I be adding on ones I have received after this until this is settled?
    Thanks
  • hi, i took a £10 cheque into my local branch complete with a letter askin for my 6 years worth of statements last thursday, it is now tuesday and the cheque has still not been deducted from my acount...

shall i give it a few more days or get on the phone to them?

    cheers

ive just phoned my branch and they told me that they have recieved my letter requesting my statements and that they've forwarded it on to the customer complaints centre, and she advised me to ring the customer complaints centre to see what progress is being made, as the branch doesn't deal with it

i rang the CCC, and they said that they branch have to send me the statements and it takes 7 to 10 days

what shall i do, wait until the 10 days are up before i take anymore action

STUCK AT THE FIRST HURDLE, PLEASE HELP!!!!!

In fact the bank have 40 days to produce the information/statements so if you only have to wait 10 days thats pretty good going.
  • ive just phoned my branch back and told them what the CCC had said, and some lad answered the phone and said, 'why on earth has she told you to ring the CCC?'

he took my mobile number and he said he's gona ring back, lets see if he does

and ive just remembered, one of my mates girlfriends works in an RBS branch but not mine, it's one a few miles away, would she be able to get my statements if i phoned her?

She would be in big trouble with her employer if she was to do this.
  • why?

she's the one who got me in all the trouble really...when i was a student i kept tellin her to up my overdraft every weekend, and she did

but if i tried to get it upped the proper way by goin in the bank, id get refused!

I'm new to this so sorry if this has been answered before,
I send my initial letter asking for my bank chages back 2 weeks ago to HSBC total £2126.23 (that's including interest), I have received a letter back today saying they are looking in to the matter. I have just rang them as they don't give a date or anything as to when they will contact me again, I was told they have 8 weeks.
Is that correct or should I send the second letter saying I will take them to court if I don't hearing anything in 2 weeks?
Also do any of these cases actually go to court?
    Thanks for any help

Send your next letter in your timescale you don't need to wait 8 weeks for a reply.

Must agree with Edinburghlass on this one - it sound a bit dodgy and I'm sure if they found out she had done that for you she would be in a lot of trouble. Surely they were refusing you for a reason

So what is the Banks address that the letter asking for my money back go to, as there seems to be a few different addresses lurking around.

    Thanks
