Ive called and spoke to very kind representative. He said he is in receiptt of the claim and will dig out the paperwork. Once he peruses the documents, he will call back tomorrow to confirm of any updates.
As a general note to the posters, it is advisable not to get too pushy with the bank i.e. litigate the matter as soon as the timeline is over.
Be patient, allow the time to pass and then possibly follow up on an amicable basis.

Hi all,
After sending my second letter to RBS by recorded delivery I finaly received a response. I was asking asking for £744 in bank charges to be refunded and within days I was sent a letter back offering me £810. I would just like to let everyone know how useful this website has been to me. I would also like to thank Edinburghlass for answering questions that I had. I hope that others are sucessful like I was.
Thanks again0 -

Relax it out guys,
Its easy to get upset at the bank.
You will get a more respectful response to a respectful approach.
Regarding the conversation i had with RBS, they do not seem to have a problem paying out what they owe so long your not going to be an a$$ clown about it. Treat others the way you want to be treated yourself.
If RBS made a mistake by taking a fiver from you then i am sure when you explain it to them, they will be happy to refund you buddy.
Try not to get tough. Remember this is a lawful procedure therefore on the the balance of probability you will be treated fairly and paid what is owed.
If you start huffing and puffing, your approach will do you no favours other than make you an author of your own misfortune.
I just got stabbed in the heart by cupid, hola hola. haha0
