Wanadoo want to charge me £20 to upgrade to 2meg service when they currently offer 2meg to new customers (with free future upgrades to 8meg as and when available) and offer a reduced introductory rate of £14.99 against standard £17.99.
They have really grasped the concept of rewarding customer loyalty!
Has anyone managed to get round this and would terminating service and signing up again work. I did this with their anytime service and got the half price introductory rate tho' I think they stopped people doing this.0 -
Hi all
I've read through the last few pages of this forum, but cannot quite find the info I'm after. We're currently on dial-up (one tel) using a BT landline and we're looking to move to BB. We don't use the internet that much, so looking to keep the cost of BB as low as poss. We don't need high bandwith (1Mb would be fine) or high download limits, so can anyone recommend a reliable but cheap provider / tariff, please? Any help much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.0 -

Having said all that I have been reading elsewhere on these threads, complaints about E7 promising 2mbps and delivering only 400 gbps downloads. Ah well, I'll keep looking for the time being !!!"0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0

Go for V21's £11.98 2MB 2GBpm service. I'm using it very successfully. It's even cheaper at £9.98 if you sign up for their telecoms package too. :-)0 -

Victor_Delta - can you tell me what getting the telecoms package would include? Does it mean leaving BT and taking their phone line? (sorry if this is a dumb question!)
Does anyone have any opinions about moving your phone line from BT to a BB provider? I know Martin usually advises not to, but I don't remember the reasons why its a bad idea...thank you!0 -
The telecoms package is provided via CPS (Carrier Pre-Select) so you keep your BT line and continue paying line rental to BT. The local BT exchange simply automatically routes all your calls via FreeTalk's network (NB V21's FreeTalk is not to be confused with Dixon's VOIP product of the same name!).
Details can be found at http://www.v21.co.uk/v21/_files/freetalk.asp and further details from 0800 089 2121.0 -
