Tony.B wrote:As advised I contacted Wanadoo who I have been with for over 14 months and asked if they would reduce the £17.99 a monthe I pay as I can only get 512 and they are doing 8 meg for the same price. Answer NO !!!!!!!Won't
.
So as I can only ever get 512 from my village exchange and have free Evening and Weekend phone calls who is the best to migrate to
I just left Wanadoo - and they made it really easy! They don't charge to migrate from and don't hassle you with offers to stay on. I suggest you do the same. You can get the same connection for 11.75 from metronet and 11.99 from v21.(with v21 you click the upto 2 mg option for that price.)0 -

Toucan THEMSELVES admit they are part of the Tiscali empire ! When the Toucan account was set up with BT it came to them as Tiscali !! They both have a centre in India.
Who ever the company, it does not excuse rudeness, or the blocking of my ADSL line for two weeks when it could have been removed in 24 hours. Even a manager put the phone down on me when they did not have an answer for my questions.
The FACTS are, that they are 'BOTH' rude and inefficient companies, whom I have no wish to deal with. IMHO, unless you like that kind of thing, don't go near them.0 -

seniorshot wrote:I have, for about a year, been using V21 512kbit broadband service without a problem but I am now considering moving to their 2Mb 2G capped service. The 2M service is I believe, the cheapest in the country at the moment at £11.99 per month, (£9.99 if you also opt for the telephone call package) - I understand that it is NOT an annual account but has a minimum period of 3 months. Hope this helps. Roger
Apologies for the editing, but have left the relevant part in. I have been in touch with V21 and their Broadband package is definitely a 12-month minimum contract. This is not made clear in the FAQ section, where it states 3 months, but I have had this confirmed by e-mail. Their dial-up is only 3 months."0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0 -
E7 have a new offer available. 1Mb speed (free upgrade from 512kpbs), unlimited download, free modem (£8.85. postage) £30 connection (lowest I've seen) and £10 per month. One year up front payment of £150 if you have a modem already. This must be one of the best offers available, (finishes on 30th November) only snag is the 1 year tie-in. They have slight name change to : https://www.e7broadband.com"0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0
