We're moving and I really dont know whether to continue with NTL or not. We're paying £17.99 at the moment and it's for twice as fast. I want faster broadband and free evening/weekend calls so if I switch to BT and onetel which internet provider would be the best? Bearing in mind we'll be moving again in about 6 mths so dont want to tie myself down to a contract!
Havent much time to shop around as we're moving tomorrow! I need my internet connected asap so PLEASE HELP!
THANKS!
Oh forgot to mention am keen on trying 18886 for daytime calls!0 -
The Onetel offer of free evening and w/end calls has now finished. Onetel and TalkTalk both do free w/end calls from midnight Friday to midnight Sunday.
Is it a BT line you are moving to or are you staying with NTL?0 -
ADSL4less !! They are offering 2 Mb speed Broadband (with 2 Gb monthly limit) for £11.99 per month. Sounds really good. I know they have been mentioned on these forums before, but with my steam dial-up it take s/so long to load each page, that I gave up looking. Are they any good ? (They are in Top 10 on ISP Review but this does not cover all companies I fear). While I'm at it, I think it is cheaper to buy my own modem/router/firewall from EBay, but can anyone recommend a reliable make & model. There seem to be so many."0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0

Well we talked to NTL and they agreed to put us 2mb unlimited plus local evening/weekend calls free for £24.99. Sounds good for the moment, I'll wait and see how it goes. Problem with anything else is the year contract
thanks!0 -

Reliabilty is good, speed is good and CS is OK (you can do a lot worse). The 14.99 package is the PAYG broadband which gives you 1G usage a month included and you then pay £1.25 per month for each extra 1G you use above that (or you can prepay at £1 a G).
Have been with plusnet for 2 years and can recommend them. Also check out the adslguide website where you can do ISP comparisons and browse the chat forums. Pop into the Plusnet one!!

They do a flat rate one now for £14.99 called Broadband Plus0 -
It may be of some use to broadband users of Wanadoo (Freeserve) who are on the 512k service and want a FREE upgrade to the 1meg service.
Were you on the new capped service or on the old unlimited service (which is also now capped at about 30 I think) and also did they increase your monthly payment0 -
