Have been using PlusNet for 10 months since finally getting totally fed up with Feeserve/Wanadoo, and can say that they are a pleasure to deal with and customer handling is excellent and their offers and updates are clear and straightforward. To be recommended.
Am on PlusNet Broadband Home Lite 2Mb (Monthly Contract, USB Modem) with included 1GB bandwidth account.0 -

With regards comparing broadband services does anyone know if NTL are applying their download limits to new customers only or the limit has been applied to customers who already have broadband as well? I ask because I am sure I didn't have a limit when I first applied for NTL broadband but I am not sure if they have changed this? As a heavy user I would be reluctant to switch to a limited service.0

Just rang NTL today and got through within a minute to the cancellation section. Wow, what a turn around. None of the waiting (20-25 mins)that I had experienced in the past.
I informed them that my 1Mbps broadband package that they offered for £9.99 a month for three months had expired and asked if they could extend this. They said it was a promotion so they would have to charge me £17.99 now. I showed them the door so they offered me 2Mbps for £12.49 for three months.
Couldn't complain then so I'll stick with them for three months.
Thought you all might find this info useful.

I just found out that Telecom Plus is offering an unlimited 512 broadband service for £19.95 a month, and this includes the equivalent of BT's Option 3 - unlimited calls to landlines 24/7. That's £5 a month cheaper than Homecall's package.0

Anyone who is contemplating going to Plusnet, perhaps they ought to check adslguide forums. Plusnet are a laughing stock, moving the goalposts on usage at a wimp. I left them in November last year when they first started changing there terms of usage, I knew then, that they weren't to be trusted and left.
No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you0 -
Read somewhere on these forums that there was a great deal at £12.50 per month, with V21, from 1st May for Broadband. Checked it out this morning and it is NOT . The offer is for Very Lite users and only gets you 60 hours per month, or 14 hours per week at 512kbps. The no hour restrictio is £16.99 per month, not such a bargain after all!!"0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0

I joined e7even last month because it was offering 512 Kbps Broadband for the same price as I was paying for dial-up with another ISP ... £15 per month. I did not get any offers other than free connection, whatever that means, I had to pay a full 12 months subscription up front and had to buy a modem, still, I am very pleased with the service and I am sure they will send me some nice offers in the future, long live cheap Broadband.
P.S. My neighbour joined e7even at the same time as me and we both gave the referral money to a member of MSE....£40 total.0 -

I was seriously considering Plusnet broadband but had a look on their site and they charge a hefty disconnection fee if you cancel even after 12 months. Is that the norm for broadband?0 -
