Trouble with having your land line transfered from BT to Bulldog is you can no longer use CPS providers like TalkTalk or indirect providers like 18866.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

I think all of you should check out https://www.f2s.com otherwise known as Freedom to Surf.

If your line is good enough you will get a 2MB connection for the same price as a 512k one.

Their backup and technical dept is good and they dont have an 090X tel number just an 0870 one.

I have connected 3 sites to these people and they are brillient.
    Regards JS
  • I use an ISP called Nildram. Come end of July their basic package will be 2Mb download with a 1gb cap for £15.99 per month. Any usage is billed at £0.99 per Gb billed in 2gb increments. They also have free migration at moment. Anyone migrating now will stay on their existing speed which then will be upgraded come July. Anybody interested can check it out at https://www.nildram.co.uk
  • We currently have 512 BT broadband at £24.99 and want something faster and cheaper. We also have btinternet.com email addresses. If we were to migrate; would we need to change our email addresses or could we keep them without some complicated system of forwarding etc.

    Help please!

For how little they cost I would always recommend your own domain name, that way no matter who you go with for your ISP you can keep the same email address.

In almost every case when you change your ISP you will have to change your e-mail address, because the e-mail addresses come with the ISP package. If you don't want to have your own domain name. you should get an e-mail address that you CAN take with you if you change ISP e.g a gmail address or a hotmail. I had the same problem and now have g.amil addresses, I find them excellent, free plus anti-virus & spam detection. You can send & receive them via Outlook Express just the same. If you want an invite I will send you one, just send me a Private Message (click on my ID name) with your current e-mail address. If you want more than one , I can send as many as you like, but need a different e-mail address for each one.

Phone up BT and say you want to leave them and see if they come up with something cheaper to keep you.

e7even might seem cheap but I had a pm from an mse-er yesterday when I was looking at providers saying not to go with them as she's in the middle of big problems with them and they took a while even to answer her emails. Also with them you have to pay for a year or two years so you are tied to them whethere they're any good or not.

in the article on broadband the following was written about Tiscali

However, due to the way Tiscali is technically set up, once you have it, it is very difficult to leave, so there is a 'lock-in' effect, worth being wary of.

Can you explain this please ? I had read the terms(And re-read them just before just in case!) but it says that I can terminate the contract giving 30days notice.

Have I misread or have i a good contract
