It makes him an instinctively nice bloke, IMO.

You are all clearly so much nicer than me. :rotfl:

  • Poor you. I too would have been mad. I do think it was a lovely thing of your hubby to do, but I also do not think you are being mean by being upset. I think you have every right, as you are a partnership he should have spoken to you really, esp if you could have done with the money.

There's nothing you can do about it now, just hope that karma will pay him back for his good deed and that someone may kindly give you two something nice in the future for nothing.

I think what he has done should be commended, he obviously felt she needed it more than you both did. You have to ask who won it exactly, as such he is entitled to do pretty much what he wants with it.

Not winning a prize is no great loss, as you are both neither worse off as a result of his win. ;)

He is my husband, I thought that meant everything became an 'ours'

I had a win on the fruit machine at the pub - £210 (it was a good night out :D) do you think he would have anything to say If I had given it to someone who he had only met once - not a relative or lifetime friend. ??

It is entirely possible for him to be stupid AND you to be mean.

I see you have fallen into the trap of only liking posts that agree with you;)

By falling out with your OH over something pretty trivial you are in danger of losing far more then a washer drier

OP you are very harsh on your hubby...

Besides a tumble dryer eats electric so better of without one!

I think he made a kind gesture, he was probably overtaken with the situation but you should be really happy that you have such a lovely man.

I think life is way to short to argue about this, we don't make perfect choices in life but at least his was kind.

Don't make a mountain out of this, if it is the biggest thing in your life to fret about then be grateful you have a good life and give him a hug.

I think you are being mean! That was a lovely thing for him to do and if it was my other half then I would be pleased with him. I know having kids is expensive and there is so much to buy but that probably didn't even cross his mind when he was doing the nice gesture.
