Has anyone who has upgraded since 2008 had any problems with regards to keeping their PUFL tariff. Especially those who signed forms with 12 months written on them but were assured that it will be for life time.0

no, why???0

Well i went into the O2 store today and one employee said I can upgrade the other one said i could not. After calling O2 upgrade department the employee said I can upgrade but the tariff will only remain for 12 months. Didn't want to risk loosing the PUFL so I declined. So just asking if anyone who upgraded within the last 12 months if they still have their tariff unchanged. I want a new phone but not at the cos of PUFL. What do you guys recommend0

Hi
Got the code sent to my phone and clicked the same tariff. BUT it comes up with:
Keep your current tariff (extend your contract by another 12 months)
Bit nervous.. did not got through with it0 -
yeah its not comforting if it says 12 months. The other people who upgraded on-line or instore did it say 12 months for you as well. If it did what happened after the 12 months?0

Read the comments further back in this thread - think it says extend by 12 months as it's such an unusual package that they try and fit it to a standard package that you would get now. There is nothing to say that your tariff changes.
Upto you if you want to take the chance. A few people have said they have donw it a few times. Not got to 12 months yet to try it again myself.
Note that this tariff started when most of the bods instore were still at school. Ask fifty of them and get fifty different answers. Much easier to do it online, you can read everthing through in your own time and choose which phone. Instore they are useless.0 -
Thanks stphnstevey i did read those. Has anyone done it on line where it said 12 months and reached the end of their 12 months? Was your PUFL unchanged0

Ignore that, had too much drink and affected my senses.

I decided against it as the phone i wanted wasn't available online. Maybe in the future if a phone I really want comes out ill give it ago. I'd be interested to know how you guys get on at the end of the 12 months if your pufl are still intact and if you are eligible for another one.0
