    Not able to upgrade online

Phoned up and complained for about half an hour - basically they said their systems wouldn't allow an upgrade without changing tariff

What are you hoping to upgrade to?

I got my replacment sim card no problem but didn't change from the PUFF 50 so it was just a straight replacement which I was pleased with.

Recently tried upgrading in-store but didn't' get anywhere. They suggested I had a better chance if I phoned O2 though I've already attempted that.
  • cob web dusting ... has anyone still got these tariffs?

    Yes

We have got 2 on the 50 peak minutes.

I did have the 200 offpeak until a few months ago when O2 messed up my sons simplicity contract after losing his mobile phone. We asked for a number change on the replacement sim card and somehow they managed to issue him with our existing PUFFL 200 OP number. We didn't realise until he had a message informing him that his bill was around £266 instead of the usual £25 as he had unlimited internet, texts and 900 xnetwork anytime mins so usually at the most £30.

After about 3 months we got fed up trying to sort it out and cancelled the simplicity contract as the network access was very poor and moved to 3. I eventually managed to get them to acknowledge is was there mistake and after receiving letters from a debt company (who were very good when I explained) they eventually cancelled the o/s amount. I asked them what about my PUFFL sim contract and they said they could resintate it but there was no guarantee that I would remain on the same terms of my original contract. So, as you can imagineI was just so glad to see a closure on the original problem and didn't want to chance more complications I told them not to bother! Shame really as it was a good back up to my Tesco 500 min contract.

But can't complain as I had very good value for money before the xnetwork contracts came out and good for ringing landlines.

Still using my two plans occasionally for landline calls. As the inclusive minutes are only valid for landline and o2 numbers it's a bit of a russian roulette to make mobile calls on these plans as x-net charges of 35p upwards are a tad painful.

I keep one handset in the car for those occasions when I/she forget to take our main phones with us. To allow reasonable cost x-net calls, set up Localphone dedicated landline numbers that forward the calls to mobile at under 5p/min. You'll need one per family/friend that's likely to be called in these circumstances.www.localphone.com/

Same here. We have 2 on the 50 peak minutes, and very rarely ever go over that. I have another PAYG sim card for txts and online use, but usually only use WI-FI.

I wonder if 02 will one day offer all of us PUFFL customers an offer we cant refuse?

Can it really be for life? Can we all keep using our 50mins per month for free for another 16years?

My bill is only the occasional 30p or something if I absolutely have to call a non 02 or landline number. I would be so happy to keep these contracts another 16years.

02 would have to come up with something very special to tempt me off this life contract.
