I'm already entering that amount easily, but yeah, will be nice to shave some time off of it! I just haven't been able to sit down and go through it yet, thanks for the link though0

Sorry for the double post, but just thought of another question that I haven't seen answered elsewhere (and I did look!):
When a competition is "enter as many times as you like", but also says something like "no bulk entries" / "if we have reason to believe entries were automated you'll be disqualified", how would they know? If someone sits there and genuinely enters in a form themselves over and over for ages because they wanted the prize, how can they stop from being disqualified due to being mistaken for something automated, especially when there aren't captchas?0 -

Interesting point and one ive seen many times ie lidl comps 100 entrys allowed, i think the bulk would be if you went over the top.
I have never entered any comp that allows multiple entrys more than 5 times because if its your turn to win - that kind of thought.
I think if you did want to do loads in a comp jsut keep it below lets say the lidl 100 number, that way you cant get knocked off for bulk entrys, but if it says unlimited just scan the t&cs for any small print.
Also think about the 'professional' compers who will do hundreds on the same comp if they can - well that will still take a long time even with roboform, so they are then going to miss other comps, just a thought, just dont waste too much time on any comp, i spent 3 hours drawing something last night in three hours i could have easily entered about 150 comps - so weigh up your chances...
There is a story about a chap who in the 90s entered a comp to win a seat car all you had to do was guess how many tins of beans would fit into the car...
This is 100% real - i'll locate the stroy and post it tomorrow..
He hired an identical model for the weekend for like 50.00 and bought loads and loads of beans - to cut a long story short he sent in what he thought was pretty much spot on right..
And voila!!!!! was completely wrong he was 'hundreds' short, so never waste too much time on any comp (unless its a life changing comp)Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:0 -

1st thing - read the terms and conditions carefully to make sure you understand what is allowed
If it is unlimited entries and soething you really want - go for it.
The ASOS page on facebook did some really nice comps last year - which said hourly on the front screen and had very nice prizes
But it was actually unlimited entries and no-one realised for quite a while - so those savvy compers who carefully read the terms and conditions and spotted it - entered loads and loads of times in the first few hours and really upped their odds of winning.
The rest who hadn't read the terms and conditions were just entering once per hour!
There was also a barclays daily instant win one - still running for football tickets - where they added in extra prizes - that was unlimited entries and compers really went to town on that.
If in doubt - ask the company to clarify it - just explain you are finding the terms and conditions confusing - they will normally clarify things. Not really comping any more as too ill - but hoping to win £1000+ in 2017 in cash prizes - watch this space!0 -

I believe that some of the paid-for sites will make about 100,000 entries on behalf of each person. A computer system effectively spams it with entries and this is classed as both "bulk" and "automated" entry.
I may be wrong but I think I remember a story about a competition where the man who won had created his own programme which basically entered him a couple of million times. The people running the competition couldn't care less - they'd had their publicity so it didn't matter a jot to them who had won.Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
I'm pretty decent at drawing and painting but I couldn't be bothered spending days rendering something on the slight of chance that it might win a prize in a competition.I would rather just keep entering the random comps.June Wins : Pair of MGM Expo Tickets,6 VIP Tickets Isle Of Wight Festival,Samsung N130 Netbook, Two Night Trip To Cologne, Royal Mail King George Stamp set July Wins : Pair of One day Wireless Festival Tickets, Ryobi Goal and Football. Hi purple - they dont sound like very good comps odds wise.
Are they any that you can think of that i can avoid (paid for sites, i want to avoid them)Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:0 -
New to the forum and also part of the No Luck group! I've been entering competitions for years now, not everyday religiously but enough. I've never won anything besides a £50 CDWOW Voucher on BananaLotto a few years back.
Be honest I do find it disheartening and hard to believe when I see posters on here that apparently win multiple things every month. Leaves me sceptical like the Lotto.0 -

I have been comping on here now for about 4 years I had loads of luck in my first year winning some big prizes.
Then in the second and third year I won about 6 prizes a year.
But this last year has been bad not 1 win in about 1 year.
I do think there are alot more people comping now then there was 4 years ago making the odds of winning longer. But as they say you have to be in it to win it (and one day itv might phone me).
I do go and apply for some free samples and do tend to get a couple of through most months so it not all bad.0
