Can you change your username? Maybe I should change my email instead to something luck based to balance it out...

A Polish word for good luck/lucky break/run of luck/similar is "Fart", which would be a terrible name :p

For the really lucky winners I assume they use multiple names, addresses, emails, profiles etc. Roboform and the like would make it easy to set up a bunch of different personas. Usually it's against competition rules but are there really measures in place to tell when this happens?

Hi, welcome to the world of comping, that is an unlucky streak but you share that with several hundreds hun, you tend to only see those who say that they have won rather than the hundreds more that haven't.

I truly believe your either lucky in life or not, as they say unlucky in love, lucky at cards... so if this is true I am sure you have other blessings which more than make u for lack of wins.

When I started many many years ago I won alot, over £1000 worth of prizes a month, now though everybody has jumped on the bandwagon and there just isn't enough prizes to be passed around. Those who do very well tend to spend all day entering where many will not have the same time to dedicate.

Just because there has been a huge influx of compers doesn't mean you should be left out of winning, most of them are fairly lazy in the sense they just enter comps on here that require no effort, copy and pasting answers. Have you considered entering the competitions where effort is required? I try to make a point of doing these ones and it is much more satisfying than winning one that you made no effort to find the answer or come up with a slogan/drawing/photo etc.

Prizes is just a perk of comping and many people forget that it is the people you meet along the way, the fun of entering and the escapism which is why you should be entering. I'm glad you enjoy entering as that is exactly the right attitude.

One last thought I will leave you with, one of our well loved members truly believes (as do I) a wish it, want it, won it attitude. If you truly believe you will win and can visualise it you have the power to attract it and win it. Just a thought but perhaps this could work for you?

    Good luck x

 Is Noel Edmonds amongst us?:D

I remember reading a book on 'Cosmic Ordering' and he very much believed you could get what you want by being positive and asking for it.

This post by treacle is SUPERB info for all new compers, (like me)............if youre reading this treacle how about a quick explo on how the 'dailies' work? Im still stuck its so confusing, like a list of comps with loads of instructions or am i doing something wrong.

*Just been zooming around cclub there is a forum on their standard homepage (not their facebook page) that has a full list of comps.
    Thanks once again treacle

Thanks very much for the lovely commentS.

I am trying to be a little careful as I don't want to be seen as self promoting - competition club is my true labour of love - there's a facebook, twitter page, website and forum.
Please PM me if you have trouble finding it - but a quick search will normally find it.

Every morning on competition club facebook page i post up a solid list of links as one post - which I title dailies.

These are all the current daily entry and instant win competitions for facebook.

just click the links and you'll be taken to the correct app or page - for some you need to visit a side tab and fill in an entry form on a daily basis - others you play a little game - others have a new competition post each day up on their wall which you will have to find and follow the instructions on.

This is my current list of DAILIES - i'll add to the side of each whether it's an app/tab or a post on their wall

As purplebutterfly suggested signing up for testing panels is a good way of getting some small things. I'm not having much luck on the comping side of things this year but last week I got sent 2 multipacks (12 Bars) of the new McVities Medley's for being part of the Snackrs Community (http://www.snackrs.com) and all I had to do was do a 3-4 minute survey once I received (and ate) them telling them how yummy I thought they were.

I'm also a member of Valuedopinions and have received (via Brainjuicer an affiliate of Valuedopinions) deodorant, Yorkshire Tea and toothpaste last year.

So comping is not the only way to get some free (albeit small) stuff.
2011-12: ITV Little England, Stargate Atlantis Blu Ray Box Set, Corsair keyboard/mouse, MP3 Player, DVD/BR x12.£50 John Lewis/Waitrose, £500 Pepsi Max it, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Jura Whiskey.

    2013: DVD/BR x4, Claire Sweeney Bag, £100, Cat Boots

    I wouldn't be so sure... perhaps I haven't found what I'm lucky at/in yet ;)

I do the effort ones that I'm able to, yes, I especially like drawing ones! Poetry I'm no good at though! Sometimes the effort comps then have random winners pulled, rather than judged, which seems a bit of a waste and less incentive to put much effort into it. Again, public voting ones = the worst.

I'd like to think I've been doing this the whole time :p I shall redouble my efforts and dream of iPads/ITV wins/etc, or maybe start small by visualising chocolate bars and syrup sachets? :rotfl:

I'm going to have to update this thread when I finally win something-that's when, not if, to The Powers That Be if you're watching!

Okay, I've been comping since the beginning of last August, and haven't won a single thing yet. That's seven months now. Thousands of entries

To give you an idea I entered maybe 1500 competitions from September 2010 up to December 2010 and I only won one prize and that prize was a luxury holiday to USA.Last year I entered maybe 500 competitions from November through to December and I won a Blu Ray Box Set and a T-Shirt.
I think you have a better chance of winning if you are entering competitions that less people are interested in not just the big ones or the more attractive ones. The United Kingdom is a big country so the odds of you winning anything are low.Just keep plodding along and something is bound to come up.
June Wins : Pair of MGM Expo Tickets,6 VIP Tickets Isle Of Wight Festival,Samsung N130 Netbook, Two Night Trip To Cologne, Royal Mail King George Stamp set July Wins : Pair of One day Wireless Festival Tickets, Ryobi Goal and Football. Pair Weekend Tickets High Voltage Festival August Wins : Pair VIP Weekend Tickets Global Gathering

Yes, you can change it - just send an email to the forum team and they will ask you what you'd like to change it to. Good comping luck:)
