  • got to say im a little worried about my claim as it is more than £5,000 and it says in the video small claims court only deal with case's up that amount in the uk, am i still ok to go forwards or shoud i ask for less than my statements show?

    It's best to split your claims if it's over £5k to try and ensure they stay in the Small Claims track. Claim for the oldest set of charges first.

  • With regards to penalty charges etc i.e 38.00 for direct debit non payment do i claim 38.00 or the difference it cost to process i.e 38.88 less 4.00 so 34.88?
  • I am owed i believe 4500.00 over six years so the interest calculator you have how do i use it from which date should i put? and i put the total amount im owed?

    You start with your first charge and input each item separately this means that charges from 2001 will incur more interest than the recent ones.

    Unless the bank have proved to you how much the actual cost is, you should claim for the full amount.
  • thanks i had referal fees , rtn fees, unpaid fees everthing and when i was unemployed in 2005 and on sickness benefit after my father died natwest bank kept my benefit and told me there not a charity and kept the lot over christmas!!!!

  • first post for me & just getting together all info together to claim charges if I dare...I have kept at least 2/3 years of banks statements do I need to send the letter and £10 cheque still to ask my bank whether they can send me their information/statements and do i need to photocopy all the statements prior to sending them off I wonder ..hope someone can help??
