  • I would send the leter and get your full 6 years of statements.. you then compile a list of charges and send the list back to them asking for repayment...

You only need to copy the statements should it get to court stage.

  • Is it possible to reclaim charges off a credit card? I had a RBS credit card that had lots of charges on them.

Also, how would I go about it? Would it cost £10 to have all old statements sent to me? Then I imagine I would highlight all charges, and send template letter ( can someone post a link to this please as I can't find it ) to RBS credit card dept.

Is that what I would need to do? I know I am asking basic questions, but it is the first time I have ventured over to this section of the forum, and find it very easy to get 'lost' in all the topics.

    Thank you.

You'll find the addresses you need in posts 1 and 2 in the Reclaim Help Thread and also links to what court fees are due and also one for exemptions of court fees. Also a basic guide to listing your charges. The link to the Reclaim Help Thread is in my signature.

If you are exempt from court fees you will need to file with the court manually using the N1 form and the EX160. both are available from https://www.hmcs.gov.uk .

  • do I add 8% interest to each charge that was made? I'm on the second stage of my claim, have got my statements and they owe me approx £1500. Can someone send me a online calculator to do it please as I'm not quite getting how this works. On telly, Martin Lewis said add 8% to the final amount of your claim but on some of these other sites, when you add 8% from 7 years ago it adds it up so that the 8% back then is worth alot more than it is now and I don't understand, Please can you help? thanks BBW:j
