You need to start by reading Martin's article and you'll find all the template letters in there and read the Reclaim Help Thread, both linked in my signature.

Have a look back through the posts here and you'll find a basic guide to getting started.

Wading through the paperwork but can I reclaim overdraft interest and to work out interest on sum claimed, do I have to work it out on each charge separately?

Yes, you work it out on each charge separately. You can use the interest calculator on this site to work it out.

Received today over 6 years of charges and statements from Lloyds TSB, Question is from what day to i start counting charges? today from when i received details? or from Monday when i post letter recorded delivery?
I would start from the date on your initial letter and work back six years but also include any charges up to date. I may be completely wrong but that is my opinion. Hope it helps :)

    Hi all

got charged £38 for a direct debit that did not go through by natwest, is it worth me trying to claim this back or would the work involved not be worth that amount.
have spoken to natwest who said the best they could do was offer me half of the charge back ( only because this is the first time ive had a bounced DD in 15 years)

so what do you guys think i should do?

  • Hi, just been charged £35 for a rejected D/D. The transfer was going from a Lloyds sole account to Lloyds joint and I though I had cancelled it last month. We never get rej d/d or go over overdraft etc, would appreciate your suggestions as to how I should approach this. Already called the bank who refuse to budge on the charge - needless to say I am livid!!

Ive sent out my second letter (2nd feb) stating the amount of charges the bank owe me.
I have since had a letter from my branch saying the letter has been forwarded to a special department to deal with it.

How long should i give them to reply before i make contact again. Also what type of contact should i make?
