Brrrrrr! It is blinking freezingout there!! The morning has been taken up with Superman's horsey antics and Missy Hinge's time at the shooting range....... the specialist Bow with reversed tension that she will need will be £350  The carers forum have given us a list of charities that may help with "sports" equiptment for her as it is adapted for her disability
The slow cooker is on for the second "cook" of the minted lamb stew.... anyone else think it always tastes nicer a day or so later and reheated?! it has been topped with dumplings and will be snarfed later with mash spuds and peas :j
we have just had tin soup heinz chicken for the boys and tomato for us girls with home made cobs.... Mermory Girls 30minute cobs infact! followed by "cake in a mug" well actually a bowl topped with golden syrup and lashings of custard :T yummy and just what we need to warm our ice cold hands and feet
Cake in a mug:
4 tbspoons SR Flour ( i uses GF flour)
4 tbspoons caster suger ( we only use 2)
either 2 tbspoons coco powder or a good drizzle of vanilla
1 egg
3 tbspoons milk ( works with rice milk also)
3 tbspoons veg oil
Mix all dry stuff together, stir through the egg, add all other wet bits and beat in to a batter. Microwave for 4-5minutes

No P-A-R-T-A-Y for me Lucky, I couldn't stand all that attention.....I think it will be a quiet grown up night away, good food, maybe even wine and certainly plenty of sleep. Now to find some money in the budget.... have found some cheap premier inn rooms about 45minutes away from us for £29 a night :TLiving in a superhero induced haze :A:A

Here at Hinge HQ we are trying so hard to keep on top of the food budget, we struggle so much with bread and milk..... we were getting through 20pints of milk a week  so I have started to subsititue the milk we use for cooking and hot chocolates/milk shakes/sauces etc... with made up dried powder. they still have plenty of "real" milk and we get away with 12-14pints a week now but every little saving adds up :j
Bread we try and make cobs 2-3 times aweek (they don't keep for more than a day" so only buy once or twice a week which also cuts down on Mr Hinge's trips to the local c00p and stops him spending £20 a time  I am slowly getting organised with the cooking and baking so it is getting uicker and easier to fit in to the day..... plus it stops me watching Jezza and other trashy tv!! It is save to say being at home suits me and I'm not missing the hustle and bustle of work that I loved so much.
Food this week looks like:
Sat..... minted lamb stew and dumplings
Sun .....Roast chicken
Mon...... chicken (lo) made in to a pie with mash and peas
Tues..... mince maybe chille/spag bol/lasange
Wed.......sausages yorkie puds, mash and veggies
Thur.... chew mein noodles egg fried rice.... may send mr H to the chinese for a carton of curry sauce :rotfl:
Fri.... mince LO from tuesday made in to either topped nachos/lasange/jack spuds
Sat..... Pizza, wedges and Gb Hm of course
Sun.... beef stew, yorkie puds mash and roasties
As always Missy Hinge will take left overs for her lunch :beer:Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A

There are quite a few charities who want to get more disabled people into sport so fingers crossed they give her a grant.
Failing that you could set up your own donation page on JustGiving or one of those and ask friends and family to donate (including all of us on here - if all of your supporters gave just £1 you would have £350 within the week.)0 -

I am so pleased with this quote especially the bit in bold - I am glad that being at home suits you.
It must be so much easier doing things at home without having to fit work in as well.
And as for the food budget - you are doing great.0 -

I can't begin to explain how much easier it is fitting everything in now, looking back I see how much we missed out on or just didn't do becasue we couldn't fit it in. on the plus side my pain flares are better controlled as I am not fighting them to get to work.
The Hinge house is much calmer, or at least as calm as it can be with my brood :rotfl:Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A

Please say hello my new diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6578460/still-dancing-to-blow-the-debt-clouds-away0 -
Today has been a late start.... Superman didn't go to sleep until gone 4am so we didn't get out of bed until 9.30  master Hinge watched Peppa pig and Missy Hinge stayed put in bed where she was warm and comfy. Her pain is really bad today, getting cold and damp at the shooting range yesterday has taken it's toll.
Superman will have his swimming lesson this afternoon but Missy H will sit it out today. This afternoon is a trip in to town to watch the christmas lights switch on I hope we can find some free blue badge parking to make it a free day :T
I have decided to go to my Big sisters funeral tomorrow, having changed my mind 50million times but I just feel I need to go. it is a 6hour round trip in the car, Mr Hinge will take master hinge to his hearing test and shall juggle the school runs until I get back.Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A
