To find your local councillor (these are people voted in by the community during certain elections, they will each cover a ward of your district or borough council. They usually have full time jobs but want to do their bit for the community plus they have aspirations to be an MP. Do a google search for your local authority and the word councillors - that should bring up the list of people and how to contact them.
If you want to find your local MP - then use this website - http://findyourmp.parliament.uk/
These are people that have been voted in at elections every few years and will represent certain parties. They like helping people especially when elections are close - we have some in May 2015 so your local one would love to help:rotfl:

I've been earning "cashback" rewards from my bank account on every purchase i make when i pay by contactless payment, Today I reclaimed another £5 and have £4.21 pending. I traded my £5 up for a £10 gift card :j:j that will be a christmas present sorted for one of the few adults we buy for. I love free money. Which reminds me I must start doing the surveys again it has been a long time I am missing the amazon vouchers I used to earn.Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A

Hello Mrs H
Just catching up and again in awe of the things that you fit into a day. You are a very special person and a great mum.
As for Missy H... :j wow!! What a jaw dropping achievement! Well done to her indeed! She isn't just a clever clogs; it takes a special kind of brain to be so good at maths.
Well done on the free money! I love things like that! I got a free £5 on paypal last week for buying something on e8ay for a colleague! She gave me the money back and I got a free £5? :rotfl:
Fingers, toes and everything else crossed that you head straight to the top of the priority list!

The new house bubble has burst rather spectacularly in the house of Hinge
it seems after our appointment on friday where they had agreed we met the criteria for the highter banding the powers above deemed that infact we didn't :mad: they say the letter Superman's consultant wrote outlining his need for his own bedroom is purely a recommendation and not a requirement of his needs :mad: bidding closes tonoight and we are 6th in line
I plan to work on getting another letter that states in black and white with no areas open to interprutation that superman needs his own room and the reasons why. I will be emailing anyone and everyone in the hope to get some support in place ready for when the next 4 bed arises..... i checked and this is only the 3rd in 10months
I feel defeated, I know we will have the compo money soon but i can't help feeling another private let is moving from one bad situation to another, and a house with 4 bedrooms would drop us even futher down the council list. Yes it would help the immediate problem but long term I know Missy Hinge will need a level access wet room and a house that can be adapted to her needs. That will not possible in a private rent. I know other people are in similar situations and by no means do I think we are more deserving than anyone else but I can't help feeling it is time some one cut us some slack.Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A

Fingers crossed and positive thoughts that there is good news today.
In our area when you bid on properties being 1st or 2nd or 3rd is no guarantee that you will get the property.
If the property is adapted in any way it is given to the first person on the list who has a disabled need - even if that person is 20th they would still be offered it.
Also if you are in rent arrears but are at the top you are skipped then as well.
Hopefully this is what happens in your area.
Failing that, I agree you need to shout from the rooftops at anyone that will listen and get all your ammunition ready for the next 4 bed property.0
