I would feel very cheeky asking people to donate.... I know we are thinking of approaching a charity but that seems more acceptable than asking people directly.
What are people's thoughts on this?Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A

I think people will donate to anything they think is a just cause. I have followed the plight of a little girl on facebook for a couple of years. Recently her family had to accept that they would have to move and fund a house with adaptations to suit her. I, and many other donated on there. I would donate towards Missy H having a new bow!

Was that Claudia's cause? I also followed her story x
Missy Hinge needs a compound Bow as it reverses the tension so the bow becomes "lighter" when she draws back rather than heavier. it will mean her shoulders don't pop out all the time!

I have 2 in particular to try and ask, I need to get the backing of a health professional to recomment the sport will be benifical to Missy Hinge for them to even look at her application......

Yes it was. I shed more than a few tears in the last few weeks. She was doing so well. It really came as a shock to me, considering she had beaten the tumour. Poor little mite. She was the daughter of a friend of my sisters.
Jelly is very well. A little terror at times but a joy all of the time. I am ok, tired and off to bed as I slept horrifically in the last week and my back is giving me some issues. The laptop is in 2 pieces, but I have a monitor from my work in order to use it properly. The screen is the part of the laptop currently resting on my knees with the keyboard above it. It is literally bent over backwards being held on by a cable that apparently tells it when the screen is open or not. If it weren't for the turning on of the laptop depending on that wire being intact I would have just cut the screen off! Lol. I have a 50 day challenge for myself. To make as much towards a new one as I can so that I don't hit the funds in January. Even covering the extra that a macbook is compared to a normal computer would relieve some of my guilt.
How are you? Hugs xx

Hi Mrs Hinge. Ive read your entire diary over the last couple of days. Well done for getting on with it all! You are quite an inspiration with everything you have to deal with.
One thing I have noticed and you can tell me to mind my own business and that is your family eat quite a lot of meat. Most days in your meal plan you have it in some shape or form. Have you thought of going meat free a few days a week? Or would the hubby and superman find that to hard to deal with?
All the best.

I cried so much when I read the sad news Lilt, I really had hoped things were on the up for them as a family.
I'm feeling rather delicate today, I braved the funeral yesterday but I don't feel I got any closure just more questions to ask.Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A

Superman rarely eats what we do, he has a very restricted diet that rarely changes from cheesy mash and gravy.... very occasionally we can get him to eat a sausage or a chicken nugget  Mr Hinge is purely a meat man.... he would grumble eveen he does now with out his meat :rotfl:missy Hinge and I often have veggie versions on much less meat and realy stretch it out with veggies.
All the best.

Think it strikes a raw nerve with parents when kiddies have to battle such unfair illnesses.
I am proud of you for going to the funeral. I'm sorry you didn't get any closure out of it, but I think in a way you already had done a bit of that previously. Regards the rest of the family, I hope not too much grief was caused and you came out of it ok.
Take care of you and yours.xx
