It was as expected Lilt, my family gave a performance of pretending to give a sh!% about my big sister but they wont win any oscars..... they were fake and easily seen through. I was ignored for most of it, left out of the eulogy which was more about them and what wonderful mum/sister/brother they were to her rather then the amazing person she was. The "family only" flowers listed every man and it's dog's name but mine and they got her DoB wrong in the order of service. Yes a mother that can't even remember her own daughters DoB. says it all.
I did however see some uncles I hadn't seen in over 10 years and old neighbours who let me know they completely understood why I wanted out.
My Dad's second wife, my first "step mum" was there, she barely recognised me, she asked about my life and she beamed when she heard about Missy H, Superman and Master H. She was interested in my life and my achievements and when it came to leave she gave me a huge hug and told me "she was very proud of me and that I did good kidda!"
I walked back to the car and I actually could agree with her..... I have done good, I am proud of myself and my children and the little family we have created and I wouldn't have it any other way.Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A

:beer: Missy Hinge and her 3 team mates got through to the semi-finals of the young mathematicians award :j:j:j next week they battle it out for a place in the final
She's not been in school yet this week, her pain is really bad and she is so exhausted she spent yesterday and most of today in bed. I've just carried her downstairs and settled her on the sofa with a cuppa, hot water bottle and the tv remote!Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A

I am a firm believer in cutting people out of your life who aren't good for you.
The damage has been repaired between me and my family but not forgotten. When I broke up with my ex, my family sided with him. They invited him for Sunday Dinner and left me out; they didn't talk to me for months. My mum repeatedly had conversations with him when I was in the room about having me sectioned or checked for a mental illness. I upped sticks and moved 250 mile away and that helped a lot. The only thing that leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth is that they act like none of it ever happened now. My sister stopped speaking to me for 3 months because she wanted my ex to fix their bathroom and if I wasn't with him that wouldn't happen.
Families are the ones we make and choose for ourselves. Those people already around and chosen for us by the universe are most likely not people we would ever pick to be around. Funny eh.
So you be proud of yourself; your family is fab (Well done Missy H!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and obviously old stepmum knows that!:D

Glad you went to the funeral and got some positives out of it despite your awful treatment from some. Your sister knew the truth and that's all that matters. You can walk away now with your head held high and enjoy a happy life with your lovely little family.
Whoop whoop Missy Hinge! What a clever clogs!

Missy Hinge and Mr Hinge are out shooting arrows, it is the last day of their beginners course before they are certified members, It is too cold for Missy Hinge to be outside for any length of time so her membership wont start until easter time when the warmer weather comes.
I had a few letters last week regarding my PPI claims and hope to hear back from them in the next 14days or so, Still waiting on the Compo cheque to come but I can't imagine it will be much longer. Final wage packet from work due next friday which should contain all me annual leave pay.
The post today got me all excited with a letter from Missy H's DLA and one was a report from her Rhuemy, should of followed my instinct and ignored them both until Monday but I didn't and both have left me hopping mad!!
I has been a whole month since my Big sis died, time is flying yet I still can't believe it is true. today is purely a duvet day, plenty of snuggling on the sofa with dvds and high sugar rubbish food. I am so lucky to be surrounded by my own amazing family but at times the grief is so suffocating I am oblivious to them.Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A

Hope you get some money from the PPI. Fingers crossed that you get all your annual leave paid. The post today got me all excited with a letter from Missy H's DLA and one was a report from her Rhuemy, should of followed my instinct and ignored them both until Monday but I didn't and both have left me hopping mad!!
I'm guessing the DLA have refused to increase the award? if they have remember that you can request mandatory reconsideration before it goes to appeal. Give me a shout if you need any help.I has been a whole month since my Big sis died, time is flying yet I still can't believe it is true. today is purely a duvet day, plenty of snuggling on the sofa with dvds and high sugar rubbish food. Just remember to go with the flow of how you are feeling, there is no right and wrong when you are experiencing grief. Take duvet days when you need them and remember that you are doing so well with everything still.
