I think they tried it on the wrong people there, Nev. Let's hope the word spreads... up to 80% paying a scam charge is scandalous.0

I think there may well be. Some companies have never followed up on tickets with me at all. It is almost as if when they see who it is, a flag comes up saying "don't bother". But then again perhaps I am attaching an importance to myself that I don't actually merit!0

Do you know what is a puzzle though, no one in my immediate family has ever had once since, despite the fact that we have been somewhat very (*cough*) 'careless' from time to time............just makes you wonder if there's some sort of list circulating on the BPA private forums?
I did wonder that as well, having occasionally overstayed by an hour or so in car parks infested by Highview, Britannia and Euro Car Parks. That's since ignoring a fake PCN from ECP around 4 years ago. And nothing since, not a sniff of another fake PCN - you'd have thought Highview at least would have clocked the car.
For the benefit of newbies and PPC trolls, I make no apology for taking my time when shopping and using a free car park. A car park space which is nothing to do with the PPC parasite and is fully provided, paid for and maintained by the proper company I am gracing with my custom and spending money!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just a quick update on this, UKPC are now repaying the motorists that had paid their scamvoices, ive been made aware of several motorists that have had their money refunded.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: revenge is sweet, especially when you hit a PPC in the pocket as much as this little scam has cost them :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -

So if criminals agree to repay victims it makes it all OK.
Surely the onus is on the parking company to make sure they have got their facts straight.
I would have thought issuing tickets on a public road was a criminal offence and the age old addition of ignorance is no defence should be applied equally.
It just shows, where money is involved, it one law for the money men and one for victims.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I have spoken with a senior police officer this morning at Wakefield on this matter.
His opinion is that they should be prosecuted, however to do so they would need someone who has actually paid to make a formal complaint to the police directly other wise not enough evidence would exist to move forward.
So if anyone knows a victim, they can make a report for "obtaining money by deception" at Wood Street Police Station Wakefield.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I would think that anyone who was given a ticket could also complain, an attempt is a criminal offence likewise. The ideal complainant would be someone who paid after being subjected to a campaign of unlawful harassment.............0

I'm sure Muckybutt will know someone, lets hope so. Maybe worth another piece in the Wakefield Express and/or Watchdog. It would be great for them to be prosecuted along with the publicity it should create.Hi Ho Silver Awayyyyyyyyyy0
