As far as I am aware they arent anymore, but am led to believe they were for some weeks if not months after the council adopted the road, which is why the NHS got the police involved. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0

Right then, ive just spoken to highways at Wakefield council, the road in question here is Bevan Grove and they confirmed that initially parts were adopted back in 2007, however the part where my mate and many others were parked - paralell with Aberford Road was adopted by the council back in November 2011. My mates ticket was dated in Feb this year so they were still ticketing 3 months later....illegally !
I do have a contact at the council if anyone who has recieved a ticket should wish to contact him then pm me.
Wonder if a foia request to see how many tickets issued and how many had been paid since Nov last year ?
Highways have told ukpc not to ticket there anymore.
Now to convince the editor of the local rag to do a story and see if any come forward...might also get in touch with the beeb and itv with this ?You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
Good work Mucky! Though whether UKPC will answer any FOI requests with a possible Police investigation hanging over their heads is a moot point... they may want to plead the Fifth!0

FoI requests only relate to public bodies. UKPC is not one of these. The best you can do is to get information under Data Protection, but obviously you're only allowed to ask about your data, not anyone else's.
Still hope the police/TS do something about it. Just because they've now stopped doesn't make it any less of a crime.0 -
Yes but the Hospital could be FOI'd to answer for the PCNs issued by their agents.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Anyhow I have been talking to the BBC and the Wakefield Express - both are interested in doing a story on it however they would like more folk to come forward to complain, I know another member on here has see this thread as they have emailed me, so theres onei'm going to do some flyers and stick them under a few windscreens see what response I get.
At £90 a throw with no discount period they've made some money the last few months from those that have unwittingly paid these scamvoices.
Now ive got the press interested and hopefully some of those affected next stop is going to be plod to see what they are doing about it, and just for good measure trading standards as well.
I'm going for it with this one f eck emYou may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
Think this one's going to get VERY interesting... let's hope the CPS (the REAL CPS, not the scammer one!) take the bull by the horns here.0

Playing devil's advocate here, but does anyone actually know whether the PPC had been informed by the management company or council that the road was going to be adopted on that date? What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

From what I gathered this morning when I spoke to the council they made them aware pretty quickly as they were getting complains about the tickets
Appeal and letter they sent back, looks pretty standard to me.
Pm-ing you now vaxYou may click thanks if you found my advice useful0
