UKPC Theiving gits

Yes im in the know ok ;)

A mate of mine got caught by these halfwits last week on the edge of a housing complex near a well known hospital near Wakefield ( im being vague on purpose ).

Anyhow he knew I was onto these private ticketing scammers so he asked me advice, hence I educated him in our ways and he left a happy chappie knowing he'd saved £75.

So I was working out that way today so decided to go down and have a look at the area where my mate was parked and got the invoice. Im pretty sure it is a private estate ( not council adopted ) as they are on the grounds of the hospital, as expected double yellows here and there - no one parked on them today!, I drove down the road and low and behold saw numerous cars with the lovely yellow stickers on. Now where these cars were parked there were no yellow lines - not causing an obstruction in any way shap or form, looking around from the start of the road to the end of the road some 300m long I looked for signage - 2 signs thats all there was, both no where near where these cars were parked and on fences that were on the estate side of the road near to entrances to the estate.

Me being me I parked up took some photos and decided to write some slips out notifying the drivers they were being SCAMMED and NOT TO PAY these shysters. I had a few passing nurses ask what I was doing so I told them and surprisingly they knew of folks that had been done there too.

I was soooo mad that UKPC are so blaitently scamming folks down there ive also got in touch with the local paper to see if they want to do a story about it.

    Bit of an update on this :

    Said mate rang up earlier just to say he'd had the final reminder, yeah ok I said keep on ignoring. Then came the bombshell "From what ive been told by others that have got tickets there, the road where I was parked has been adopted by the council" woahhh I said if that correct then that is plainly theft and obtaining money by deception and should certainly be reported to the plod.
    Mate replied by saying many of the staff at Pinders have had the SCAM tickets and had been told that the road had been adopted last year sometime.

    Me being me ive just emailed the council to see if this is infact true, so have to wait n see now.

    You may not be able to spell thieving (I before E, except after C) but, under the circumstances, I forgive you. Go for them, son!

    While your blood is up, how do you fancy going for the jugular and sueing both the car park owner and PPC for harassment? Over and above any potential financial considerations, it could get the PPC's contract terminated.

    Please, God, let this be the first of a new generation of OPs. What with the budget and everything else, I sense that the mood could be right.

    Just as a side note has anyone had a stolen cheque sent to these with the amount on it ? Most business bank accounts charge about £30 for a bounced cheque to be cashed (providing its cancelled by the cheque owner the owner will not incur any costs)...
    Im sure the PPC's would be upset with losing £75 plus the £30 bank charge

    * Update *

    My friend has had his ticket cancelled ! apparently many complaints have been made both to the local hospital and they in turn have complained to UKPrats and the police.

    My mate got a letter back saying ticket had been cancelled, he's dropping the paperwork off to me on Monday so I will scan it and upload it hopefully Monday night.

    From what I can gather the road HAS been adopted by the council and these muppets were still giving out tickets on the said road, very naughty yes and if it were me i'd now be sueing the !!!! out of them for harassment.
