Not being able to preview the first post in a thread by hovering over the title is incredibly irritating and makes the site unwieldy. Any chance of this being addressed?

I made the same reply, but my post is not here as I then had a message saying site was down for maintenance!

Tried both. Can't see any significant difference (probably good news to you). Stretchy doesn't seem to be stretchy (probably bad news). I paid for this huge screen so that I could see several web pages at a time: why can't I view it in a 500ish-pixel-width window without using View: Page Style: No style?

I think this is what the previous posters are referring to. This one was on an article referring to Life Insurance/Assurance but I think most of them are broke. If anyone is still checking this thread can you fix or point me in the direction of the right place to raise this?

First of all, I am using this site mainly for compings

1. Font in style, width, line space etc seem now worse as it is difficult to reading. Are we trying to save ePapers and eTrees here?

2. Header with auto pop up menu NEED to switch off and back to "if you want this section - CLICK this"

3. I like New Search because I do not have to scroll down to "forum" everytime in old version, but WHY I need to click on search box in order it be enable for me to paste detail into it? What waste of my time.
Need it to be set as ready for PASTE, not click me first before you can paste

4. Am annoying to scroll sideway when someone put pic in their posts? I like to see pages in fixed width page.

5. Sometime first post is sufficent especially in compings but I had to scoll upward for new search cos of that big header or photo on right side.
In old version I hardly scroll upward as I managed to see first post and search box without scroll

6, I really fed up with the display something like that "sorry, you have to wait !5 seconds before you can try new search"

Why I need wait 15 seconds, come on

7. I do not know if that is relevant, why do MSE need keep old information on their server such as from 2007 when I search:eek:

its flood control
every forum uses it
is info from 2007 no longer valid?
use advanced search for narrower results

I agree with this. Not really sure what the answer is, though.
Maybe just make the offending post wider and leave the others on the page?

Incidentally, page 15 of this thread is wide, though I can't see why it should be. I believe I'm using the current version on IE8.

page 8 on proper settings
theres no reason for images to be an issue on any width
VB software can resize images to fit
