I am still having issues with forum depending on which browser I use, I really don't know why this is but maybe someone can advise.
This is what i see with IE :
And this is what I see with safari:
As you can see on IE all the text from the 'IMPORTANT' bit is squashed together and the bread crumb trail (or whatever it is called I am not really sure) is covered over by it so I can't see where I am. Also as you can see there is far more white space with IE than safari. BTW they are both set to 100% zoom.Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death.

I can't really see the point in having an Enter button & a Thanks button in the comps section?0

I use the Old, Old version (pre the last changes made) and the search box at the top right hand side of the page is still super-imposed on itself (sorry, can't explain it better!). Someone else mentioned this earlier in the thread. I realise you can do an advanced search if you log on.0

Are you talking about the buttons for the first post? If so the thanks is optional depending if you have manners. The Enter button should put a green tick beside the OP timestamp within the thread and a green tick on the forum view so when you look at the thread titles you can immediately see what ones you have/haven't entered. It's actually very handy to have it.
If you're not talking about that then I apologise for sounding patronising0 -
I'm using a programme that increases font and background size and the new version appears to be wider so it's disappearing off the side of my screen when it's enlarged. In other words, the new version is less disabled-friendly.
Having said that I've emailed mse about accessibility of the site and forum already and had no response.
I find it really disappointing that the site is designed in a way that makes it difficult to make full use of assistive technology and that the opportunity has not been taken to remedy problems with headings overlapping when enlarged.0 -
I dont like it much.
The old version showed users, the details and posts all down one side, so they could easily be scrolled through if you were looking for a post by one user.
Now, having the names across the top you have to read each line effectively rather than being able to scan the list.
It also seems to be lacking depth. It all looks flat and merged together. The definition has gone.
Oh and I cant see the avatars clearly anymore because they have not been designed for older people. (Most people over the age of 40 have a change in eyesight)0 -
I use IE8, on Windows 7 - I find the new version runs much quicker without glitches, though I must say the previous version look-n-feel was much easier to navigate.
Edit: I use mvps host file to block ad content.0
