    Hi Piq et al
I would have slapped my children if they had behaved like that in someone else's house - I never had to because they knew better!

You are making great strides towards your goals - very impressive.

I cannot believe nearly a year has gone by, it will be a year on 6th September that my Dad passed away, still can't quite grasp that he is gone.

The year has been a challenging one - for you too - things can hopefully only get better as we move forward!

Although I don't post very often I always read all the posts and have a chuckle at many of them, always brightens my mood.

Good luck with the continuing de-cluttering - really cannot face doing that myself, although I definitely have got dust monsters under my bed:o

Take care, hugs for Captain and Col.

  • Well done Piq - you've got so much interest. My neighbours have had their house on the market for 8 months now and have only had 2 viewings.

I wouldn't worry too much about the rendering. It really does depend on what people are looking for. Some want a house they can move straight in to and have no work to do. Some are looking for a project or just want to be able to increase the value in some way. I'm sure the house is perfect for someone and they will find you when the time is right.

What an abominable monster of a child and total idiots of parents, I would have dragged it off the sofa and handed it to the parents with a "please keep your child under control and stop them from wrecking my house" instruction but then I am not in a child friendly mood at present! People wonder why the number of crimes and anti social behaviour is on the up - anything to do with lack of discipline I wonder?????

For goodness sake, if the agent wants to sell the house and so get paid the agent needs to do the viewings, end of. Make the cheating so and so's work for their money. They will be happy enough to take it from you! I do hope you phone and tell them to read a calendar and get the dates right next time!

Poor Colin, do hope he is recovered and the offer of cheese tempted him out eventually.

    Good morning :)

Argh to crappy viewers with no respect, you obviously have a lot of self control, know I wouldnt! :)

Really hope you get that buyer soon, will be in a similar situation to you in a few months, but lots to get on with first.

What awful parents that child must have, goodness knows how it'll turn out.

Another one here who hated the moving scenario and it wasn't even from a house I had any emotional attachment too. Some people are just so rude. Makes my blood go cold everytime I think of it and makes me hope that if ever I'm in a situation to move again, I'm doing so with a view to giving DS this house and moving into a nice unencumbered house with no nasty viewers to show around mine.

Agree with Missrlr re the EA, exactly why are they being paid?

I have just read from start to finish. It has taken three days:eek:

I have a broken leg from throwing myself down the stairs on the first day of the summer hols. So i am bedridden. It was very interesting reading

I am not a cat person but I think i am in love with Colin he is:A The Captain sounds wonderful. I know nothing about looking after horses so reading about his intimate cleaning was a real eyeopener:eek::rotfl:

Your pots are lovely i really like the chicken ones.

I once had someone that decided to go thru draws etc when i was moving but i threw her out. They are buying the house not the furniture. I also think i would have commented on the childs behaviour. There is no excuse for the brat to be jumping on your furntiure and i would have told the parents so. It is the estate agents job to be dealing with viewings. Get them to bring people round while you are out / at work. That way they earn their money and your very limited free time is exactly that your free time.

I shall continue reading as i have now subscribed to all updates!:A

Just catching up! And in time to read this :D wow! Is it for much less than you'd put it up for? You could always counter offer if it's not what you hoped? When I sold my last house they offered me X amount and I met them in the middle and the house was off the market and sold within a month :T Fab news!

And as for the bratty child, I also would have slapped mine, right across their jumpy little legs! But I think mine would know better as they'd have been threatened not to touch a single thing before even going through the door ;):rotfl:
