Wow exciting times ahead for you Piq and so happy that you're DD will be home soon.

Really don't have any words of wisdom to offer you unfortunately but hope that you've gotten a RL person that you can run through this with even just for you to talk at and work things through.

Would counteract the first offer to see if you can gain any more particularly with a possible 2/3 other offers on the table.

I've never sold or bought a house so have no idea what the process is but I do watch Location, Location, Location and have noticed that if there is no chain then it's a definite plus for all involved.

    Thank goodness for Guardian Angels.

    Good luck in your decisions.

Cross posted - would still see if the first offer is able to match what has been offered today, if not then go with the most recent offer. It's only fair to go back to the first offerer (?).

Wowsers its all happening in Piq land. I'm not surprised you are discombobulated - this makes it all real I guess and a decision will be required one way or another. Anyone trusted you can talk it all through with? The pros and cons and the anxiety twitches?

Great that DD is visiting, I remember when she went and how sad you were - doesn't feel like a year ago. Hope you have a lovely visit even if you have to work.

Have a pat on the arm and a stroke on the back as I know you don't like hugs. Good luck with it all and I hope you get some sleep.

I am so looking forward to seeing DD, a whole year gone by. Doubtless she will attempt to take over, but that's a love thing so I'll smile serenely and put up with it.

DS3 has been over so I've been talking through some of my worries with him. He says he's already rallied his brothers and they will be doing as much as possible. All girlfriends are also rallied for cleaning, packing and unpacking duties. I'm a lucky girl I know.

Glad you are discombobulated in a good way :j:j:j

Do take up your guardian angel's offer - you can 'pay it back' to someone else in the future :T

I will be 'paying back' I have already offered to sit with her husband so she can go to a monthly tea dance with a friend. She needs a break and it's something I can give easily, it's only time.
    I totally agree with this.

Keep strong Piq. It boils down to a 'business' decision. Hard to separate our emotions, I know, we're human, emotions get in the way, but try to stay calm and methodical and hopefully the situation will sift out into the best for all parties. And yes, I appreciate this is easy to write, I'm not facing the situation - you are, but I hope it helps you to know that anyone of *us* here would step up to stand at your side in support in a heart beat.

    Rooting for you!

GP you are great, thank you! Funnily enough, methodical is not one of the words ever used by people to describe me, can't think why :rotfl:

I will cope, it's what I do, but I do falter along the way quite a lot. I just tell myself if I don't do this I will go under financially within a year. This way I can live a very simple life without the millstone of debt around my neck.

    Hi Piq,

I've been reading your diary for a few weeks now and read right from the start. It has been such a great read like a good book, you have a way of writing things, are you still considering going down this route?

I came on here to see money saving tips and found your forum & couldn't stop reading from then onwards.

I am a horse lover too, I have a palomino, Arab x new forest mare who costs a fortune but she is so worth going to work for.

You've been through so much and are so brave with all the change and congratulations on your debt repayments.

I hope to be sticking around

    Hello and welcome :hello::hello:

Thank you for popping in and reading my life's waffle. Maybe when I'm finally straight I will go back to the book idea, it's been a bit of a roller-coaster for the last year.

I love palomino horse so beautiful [when they're clean :rotfl:] Horses must be the most expensive of animals to have. Thank goodness DS3 never got his way when he was little as his life's ambition was to own an elephant and marry Sooty :rotfl:

You will be methodical m'dear, because this will all be about; paperwork, appointments (eg 'their' surveyors), securing legal advocates (maybe),more paperwork etc etc. We have every faith in you.

The 'human', 'emotional' stuff will have nothing to do with the 'process' of selling. Therefore, stay methodical with the selling process, and the rest will fall into place :D

And yes, I forgot to say to Noonar this morning, what a good phrase 'amazeballs' - in relation to your Guardian Angel - was. See, I kan be down wif da kidz meee......:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
