So poor I can't even pay attention

I didn't have a NSD yesterday, spent £2 at a local fete. Went along with a friend from the yard and had a great time. There was a lot going on and it was a lovely sunny afternoon. I ate half a portion of chips
and some shortbread
I don't think that will have doomed the weight loss too much
I did, yet more, clearing of the garden and have now found the brick path that I had forgotten about. It winds its way to a bench under a very overgrown rose arbour. I've been clearing broken pots along the way. This is a mammoth task...
I really need to go shopping I have hardly any fruit or vegetables left. Dinner will be interesting tonight!
My diary by the Bear
I didn't sleep well last night, she woke me up twice because she didn't like the position I was lying in. She said I looked like I had been garroted! How rude! I was lying with my head right back along my back, how's that for supple?
I'd already had two long sleeps just lying in her arms whilst she watched television. She is so comfortable and these days I really want to spend more time with her. If only she would sit down and pick me up.
I have the urge to stand with my head in the corner a lot, I don't know why, must be something in the water, maybe she's drugged my food!
Still not using the litter tray.....I walk over it and spread the litter as far as I can though, quite good fun.
Can you believe she's wiped me all over with baby wipes and that awful horse's wipes to boot!! Says I'm not grooming myself, that just waving my paws in front of my face doesn't count.
No fruit or veg in my house either, its a sorry state of affairs ! Theres half a packet of bacon and lots of cake though !
Oh Bear, you are making me sad. You are very lucky to have such a special Mum to look after you and Groom you. Enjoy your cuddles xxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Hiya Piq
So sorry to hear the Bear is not good ... just a thought, does your vet do home visits? I know they are more expensive, but if the journey to the vet is so stressful, it might be an alternative? Catto, being a rescue cat, also hates the journey, and when I took him last week he was really ill when we got home - thought I was going to have to ring the vet again and have him PTS imminently. However, he has now perked up considerably (could be the Feliway - who knows?); we will take things on a day by day basis.
Love to you both from both of us, cake & catto xxx0 -
Darling Bear, when sight fails us we seek darker spots, something to do with contrast. Have you had a diabetes check it seems to fit a lot of your symptoms .... It sure you will appreciate the treatment plan though!
Tell you Mum to mind her beeswax and sleep herself!
Although the suppleness of your neck is quite astounding, do you have pressure somewhere round your eyes or neck that needs relieving? This could be impacting your eyes ..
Ask Mum for a nice massage round the head and ears see if that helps

Dear Bear, I thought I'd pop in and drop this off to make you smile

I hope your mum is ok today as I know little miss Piq flew a long way away and so she's probably sad. So if you have any purrs inside at the moment, I'm pretty sure she'd like to hear them
Hugs to mum and smooths to you

Beloved Bear was put to sleep this morning, he died in my arms at peace.
He deteriorated rapidly, walking in tiny tight circles, no longer grooming himself and getting stuck in open corners. Yesterday evening he nearly killed himself by walking past the vacuum cleaner, catching the flex around his neck and continuing to walk despite being strangled. It was just as well I heard him choking. His quality of life had gone and all he wanted was to lie in my arms, he was stressed beyond belief if I put him down even to go to the toilet.
I'm in bits and can't stop crying, I know what I did was right for him, but selfishly, it wasn't for me. He was my companion and friend. I'm going to miss him so much.
My daughter flew to Australia yesterday, I didn't tell her how the Bear was. She was happy and excited and I didn't want to take that away from her in any way.
I forgot to move money around and have gone over my limit, so for the first time in a very long time will be getting a bank charge.
