You are making me wonder if any of my long time unmarried friends have secretly married now!:rotfl:You never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow0 -
I don't think I would marry in secret but I would like to be married without all the fuss, hassle and expense that planning a wedding brings.
I keep putting it off and have even contemplated changing my name to what will be my married name in the meantime! I suppose I will get there eventually.
If I had my way, I would book a day off work and do the necessary, probably grabbing two witnesses off the street ! that must be something - excuse me, sorry to bother you,do you have ? mins, just need you to be a witness for my wedding.:D
Once the formalities were over, I would go for a nice meal. I suppose I might have a big party at some point in the future for family/friends work colleagues etc but I would so love to go into work one day and say oh by the way, I married yesterday, can you call me Mrs ? now !0 -
Have indeed, the first time I got married and didnt tell anyone for over a month. The way I see it, our relationship is between the two of us, I don't need for other people to be around to affirm anything. My mum was !!!!ed off but seeing as how she had been planning some generic wedding where anyone could have been the groom at all and I had no input since I was about four, I didn't really feel that badly about it and she got over it.It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.0

I'd have thought bigamists the most likely ones.Favours are returned ... Trust is earned
