Having problems here with cashback, sent in 1st and 6th as per within required time scale, heard nothing, rang them asking why i had heard nothing, even though the royal mail special delivery had been signed for, girl said i needed to send the 2nd and 7th instead because of the time in the month contract was taken. They sent out new cashback claim form,to return to a different address than the original one, sent special delivery, week has passed now and still showing un-delivered by royal mail.
Advice please??
To Jonjulie...Special delivery compensation is minimum £500 ...so it might be worth pusrsuing them.
New development in my claim ....phoned consumer services...was told not in the system and they might have shredded the stuff if sent early due to data protection (makes me laugh...such a consumer protective organisation!). The nice lady asked me to just fax the first page of my last bill and they will sort it out. Yet to fax it.0 -
They have lost mine too...yeah right. They have asked me to fax my invoice, claim form and the 2 bills. I asked them how long would it take for my cheque. I got told another 28 days. Now according to the old T&C's we had to send in out documents within 28 days and they would send us a cheque within 28 days. They have definately received my cashback form as it was sent special delivery and signed for!!! If the same has happened to you guys then it is centrally orchasterated and planned. They are delaying paying us out on purpose.0

Mine appears to have been signed for by a Phones 4 u employee so there goes my compensation!!!:mad:0 -
We will get our money in the end, there isn't much they can do to avoid it.
But, it certainly appears deliberate now, hoping some will go away.
It is really going to dent any chances of cancelling with o2 in time though.0 -
Same happening to me. Sent in 1st and 6th bills after 6 months connection by special delivery. Confirmation from Royal Mail that it was delivered. Phoned up P4U a week later and told to try again in a few days as no record on system. Phoned up again last week and was told my claim may have been rejected as should have sent in my 7th bill (?), but if I send a copy of that in then everything will be ok. Sent 7th in and going to follow up with a call tomorrow. Have confirmed every call that photocopies are acceptable.
This is very fishy. Think we could all be in for the long haul here.0 -
Why don't you just send them a LBA and then sue? I can never quite understand why people let companies treat them this way for what usually ends up as months? I must be missing something??0

Exactly same situation as JGal, though now I am on a couple of stages. So after sending in 1 and 6 (which we never received although SD tracking says they did). Was told to send in a copy of bill 7, which I did, next followed up call but the person I sent the bill to was unable to take call, so advised to fax it. Faxed it all to them again, and followed up with a call the next day, advised that only page one came through and pages 2 and 3 had gone missing. Asked to fax these pages again, which I did, now they cant find this at all. So advised to fax all of it again, which I have just done, so lets see if they actually get it this time. Got the feeling either they are either not very honest or not very organized.
With 35 to 50 minute calls each time I am glad i have so many free 0870 calls on my 02 contract.
PS - It was my fault by the way that I sent it to the address they gave me, not the new Bristol address, and sent the bills they asked me for, not the ones I didn't.0 -
......now they tell me that I should have returned the redemption form (not specified during last call) with the 7th bill and that I need to resend both together... what's the next hoops going to be...0
