i havent any e-mail from themobileoutlet or orange regarding length of my contract, but as i said tmo tol me on 2-3 occasions i had a 12 month one(as someone asked why did i ask them more than once, its just me i like to be sure and didnt want to take on more than 12 mnoths)i have e-mailed orange and they have temprarily stopped my account/disconnected me for 6 mnoths, but say after 6 months is up i still owe them 6 months cash(let them try and get it of me)have also yet again asked them for proof i have signed a 18 month contract, and expect more than the feeble reply i got last time, that said read the terms+conditions
In the future, instead of asking 2-3 times, ask once and get written confirmation. If a company can't provide you with written confirmation then be wary.
Orange will try and get the money from you. You are right, they can't force you to pay, but they can default your account and get a court judgement in their favour.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -
Hi Folks,
After writing several emails to mobileoutlet on their cashback, sales, customerservice and forumqueries, I am trying this forum to escalate the issue.
I am on a £30 virgin monthly contract with them and I've submitted my 1-4 bills on time amounting to £120 cashback due to me. TMO have accepted my claim but have actually paid back only £72 (????) into my account.
Has anyone else faced this problem?
How do I get them to pay the rest? Also its only the first 4 months yet, don't know what they would be upto for the next 8 months of my cashback. If it was a fault they should have atleast answered to 1 of my emails being sent for last 2 weeks, but looks like one of those dirty tricks of stealing their customer's due..
Can anyone help?0 -
They have paid you the correct amount, they split the the cashback into 5 equal payments, although they do not specify this in their terms and conditions.
£30 times 12 months = £360 divided by 5 equal payments = £72Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -
avoid this company at all costs, they robbed me of 6 months of my cashback (this was after they originally put me on the wrong contract, it took ages to sort out)0

The 7th bill arrived this morning (6 days after date on bill so not too bad). So i am now going to the post office with my Special Delivery..0

I would be grateful for some advice on my cashback claim for a new
phone I recently purchased with The Mobile Outlet.
On the 1st bill I received from T-mobile, the net charges were:
£0.09 outstanding from last bill (I am not sure why this charge is
here because I haven't had another contract with T-Mobile for over 5
years and this new contract started on 12/04/07)
£3.84 (tariff for 12/04/07 to 15/04/07)
£29.79 (tariff for 16/04/07 to 15/05/07
Firstly, am I already in violation of the T&Cs for the outstanding
£0.09? ("If there have been any late payments made on your account at
any time this will result in your application for cash back being
void.")
Secondly, does the period 12-04/07 to 15/04/07 count as the first month? Or
do I count the period 12/04/07 to 15/05/07 as the first month?
Here is a plan of what I think I should be sending:
Bill From To
1 a 12/04/07 15/04/07
1 b 16/04/07 15/05/07
2 16/05/07 15/06/07
3 16/06/07 15/07/07
4 16/07/07 15/08/07 Send claim 1
5 16/08/07 15/09/07
6 16/09/07 15/10/07
7 16/10/07 15/11/07 Send claim 2
8 16/11/07 15/12/07
9 16/12/07 15/01/08 Send claim 3
10 16/01/08 15/02/08
11 16/02/08 15/03/08 Send claim 4
12 16/03/08 15/04/08 Send claim 50 -

i cancelled my order
its been almost two weeks since i placed my order and i havent heard anything.
they keep saying theres a problem with your order, please call us.
when i call i get put on hold and no one replies to my emails.
i contacted riz directly as i had his email from previous and just told him i want to cancel my conenction before its connected.
Im paying £1 per month on my current line rental and it gives me 3000 off peak mins so im just gonna stick to that.
mobilte outlet is a waste of tim.. its a huge risk as even when ur looking to buy, they're not great at setting you up. imagine how much harder it'll be when your trying to get money off them
good luck to everyone and thanks for your advice0 -
I have just received refusal on two cashback claims for two seperate contracts. I have proof of posting and tracking on both as well as an email from Joseph @ TMO accepting that as 3 have changed there final billing that they expect to receive the 11th and 12th bills a month later than originally expected. I am going to write with the evidence, is this a normal occurence what measures can I undertake if they still refuse this claim? It pays to challenge0

You are required to follow the terms of your contract, if you have followed the procedure set out, go to the first page of this thread and file a claim in the small claims court.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0
