HI, just popping in to say I still exist and sorry I haven't been around! I'm in work mode - been doing nights and not much computer time available, then this week I'll be away till Thursday night so posting will be thin on the ground.

I hope the carvery didn't do too much damage! I ate out last night too - a friend who's moved away is up for the weekend so a bunch of us went out (early, so I could get to work). I managed to be very good and just have a main course but it was tagliatelle with a rich sauce so that's probably just as well. :)

I think you're allowed a treat from time to time. It helps us stay on course.

Hi, I usually live on the DFW boards, but got into a discussion with my (already) fiance about Leap Year. Anyway, long story short, I'd like to see if I can get him a ring.
I've looked at Argos, but don;t really like them and anyway they're all a bit wide. I'd be looking for something round the 3mm-4mm width. I'm also looking for something round the £40 mark, so nothing exciting really, although a stone of some sort would be nice.
Also, I have no idea of his ring size and as he doesn't usually wear a ring, i have nothing to borrow to find out.
please help, the 29th is on Wednesday (I think?) and I'm not even sure if this is a possibility?

  • Right have now bought a ring for Mr BR  I don;t think it's the right size but they didn't have his size in and it'll take 2-3 weeks to order the right size, so this is a size smaller and we'll see. It was Warren James and only £19. I do feel a bit stingy, but it's titanium and looks nice, so I just hope he'll like it.

You do know that Titanium can't be re-sized?

Yes I do, but thanks for mentioning it.
The shop has told me that I have 16 days to bring it back to exchange it, so I can present it to Mr BR and then, if it doesn't fit, we can go in to the shop on Saturday, get his proper size checked out and then order it.
