Not at all - but I do think that sometimes bms can forget that it is the brides wedding. I know this was the case with one of mine.First baby due 3/3/14 - Team Yellow! Our little girl born 25/2/14

Unless you want your BM to be uncomfortable all day and look it in the photos it is wise to take account of what suits her rather than just a random choice of dress you like. Baby pink can make a lot of people look insipid, and to me is best confined to party dresses for the under sixes!, but each to their own on colour. Style, fit and suitability to the wearer is another matter, that dress will probably not suit a size 20, and she seems to have good reason for asking you to reconsider.0

You're planning to put a girl size 20 in that dress?? I'm not surprised she doesn't want to wear it! Seriously, strapless dresses are only good for really thin girls with perky, medium size boobs. I rarely see anyone that looks good in that kind of dress - and yet it's a very popular bridal style
There's also too much happening on the dress you chose (again, not flattering for the fat one) and the pale pink is not flattering for most people too - I think I can safely assume your bridesmaids are rather pale?
It looks like your bridesmaids have completely different taste to yours - why make them wear something they hate? Find something else, something that you and them will like! From Poland...with love.

I just want it ticked in my box now so I can crack on with invitations, ties, flowers...
Thanks Everyone

OP, it might be worth having a look here http://www.bandicootboutique.com/ I have bought some dresses from their ebay shop and they are very flattering. The boob sections in many of the dresses is quite generous as I tend to find as a large boobed woman there isn't enough room in the chest area and I end up with either double boobs or looking like a tramp! If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0

I guess the groom should think himself lucky that he get an invite, hey?!Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

How about a compromise? would something like a wiggle dress be suitable for your slim bridesmaid, and a rockabilly style dress for the larger bridesmaid? They will both nod to the same era, and you can still choose fabric and finish, but with a style that will suit both.0

I agree, and it looks lovely.
It's definitely one of my favourite wedding trends!!!!
Mismatched dress and bouquets - pretty!!!!!!!
See that does look good, but only if you have like 4+ brides. Otherwise with just 2 bridesmaids it'll look a bit weird, almost like no one could be bothered to find matching dresses. IYKWIM
That bandicootboutique.com website is quite good. Never heard of it before. Would this style suit the larger lady? http://www.bandicootboutique.com/showdetails.asp?id=347What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -

I have two bridesmaids who wont be in the same style, length or colour. It hadn't occured to me people would think I couldn't be bothered to find matching dresses. I wouldn't have thought this if I was at a wedding and this happened.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0
