Urgh, Demanding Bridesmaid...

I think I have found THE bridesmaid dresses that I want my 2 bridesmaids to wear
One of the bridesmaids likes the dresses, but the other has said she hates them and that the bridesmaids had both discussed not wanting strapless and she thought I wanted fuschia pink and not baby pink.
TBH I just want pink. Don't mind which colour. This is the dress that I like:

Initially the Bridesmaids were going to buy their own dresses so wanted something they could wear again, which is another of her arguements, but I have managed to sell a phone on ebay for more than i wanted ( :j ) so could buy them for them....what do you all think? Am I just being bridezilla about this?

No definately not.
Its a beautiful dress and it is your wedding day. Their job is to do what you ask of them and try and make you happy. They would want the same thing for theirs0 -
I LOVE that dress! The bridesmaid debate is always an interesting one as you have to try and balance what you want and making sure that your BM's are comfortable as well. To be honest, it sounds like your BM has maybe got her head or her heart set on a certain type of dress and maybe isn't giving this dress a proper chance because it's different. Could you maybe take them both to try them on and see if that softens her a bit?0

I don't 'do' dresses and even I think that's lovely.
If she doesn't want to wear it, I dread to think what sort of garb she is thinking in appropriate for your wedding. Have you told her it's your WEDDING day and not your WEEDING day?If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
Totally agree with Dragoneye!!
This is YOUR wedding day, not the bridesmaid's!!
I had this same issue with one of my bridesmaid's (just happened to be my future sister in law) and she was a nightmare the whole way along. In the end I made it clear that she was not getting her own way and dropped out, which suited me just fine.
When I was bridesmaid for my Aunt and then Cousin, my dresses/hair were horrendous but the days were their weddings, not mine and it was for one day out of my whole life. Not even my mum knew my true feelings about the outfits.0 -
i can 'kinda' see her point. I would not want to buy that dress myself as a bridesmaid as I know I would not wear it again. However, if you are buying the dress then I would not have a problem with it. Does she know you are now offering to buy the dress?
I am buying my bm dresses and so expect to choose the style and colour, if the bm's are uncomfortable or really do not like them I would not put them in it.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
Well apparently they both sat down one night and looked at dresses and both like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WHITE-PINK-FLORAL-ROCKABILLY-VTG-PROM-DRESS-SIZE-8-20-/330599318666?pt=UK_Women_s_Dresses&var=&hash=item7dbcf5b408
I shot it down straight away. horrible is not even the word. But she wants that sort of style now, the 50's rock poffy dress. What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -
I prefer the one you chose, it's beautiful. I can't see any reason they wouldn't wear it, particularly as you're paying. If they don't want it, maybe choose a different bridesmaid. It's your wedding day, your choice. If your chosen dress was horrendous it may be different, but it's gorgeous!0

If they had discussed it not being strapless it could be because their bust size may make them feel uncomfortable in it or they just don't suit them.go shopping with them and try some on even if it's just bhs debenhams to see what styles suit and then buy online or in shop if you see one. It is a nice dress but not nice enough that id want my bridesmaids to wear it if they didn't like it/felt uncomfortable. I know this sounds a bit odd but it is a little bit their day too. I'd say try and find a compromise that you and they can agree on

Unless you were going for a 50's theme wedding that is just not a good look for a bridesmaid.
Love the one you chose but can see that if you aren't comfortable wearing a strapless dress you wouldn't like it for a big occasion as you might spend the whole time tugging it up. (Did attend a wedding where the bridesmaid was adjusting her dress through the entire service and it was very distracting).Rational judgement, now, at this very moment.
Virtuous action, now, at this very moment.

Willing acceptance - now, at this very moment - of what you can’t change0 -
I like the dress they choose, but, its your wedding so its up to you!'' Ok Marge, if anyone asks, you require 24-hour nursing care; Lisa's a clergyman; Maggie is seven people and Bart was wounded in Vietnam ''0
