Sounds quite exotic. I'm sure you have featured in many novels that I have read! Dark/black hair and blue eyes is quite Irish, a lovely combination.Genie

Thats the irish in me.
And now Im living here Im even getting the irish skin tone - Lilly White with a smattering of blue:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Thanks heavens for BE's Tan - gives me the hint of colour I used to once have :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I've finally decided to declutter my make up andjust have some essential items.
Now I'm a fan of mineral make up as it doesn't irritate my skin too much and I was looking a purchasing mineral blusher and a few mineral eye shadows. Can anyone recommend a good brand? One that dosen't bulk out the product with talc. Oh and it must be lanolin free if possible! Ive not got a problem paying a little but more as long as its a good product.
Also, has anyone used that bourjois mascara that makes you look like your wearing eyeliner? Is it any good?

Tried the Bonjours mascara your talking about- rubbish, didn't do what it promised AT ALL!
I would recommend Maybelline Collossal for the same price but all high street brands I have used seem to become clogged/dried after a month or so, I used Clnique, Dior, Chanel (all samples unfortunetly) and they last much longer! you do get what you pay for!
Maybelline is also great for mineral foundation- the liquid ones are great. The Bare Essentials ones that are sold in places like Debenhamns are terrible if your skin is anything other then bronze- had it applied and couldn't get it off soon enough!0 -
I just got my little pot of bare escentuals yesterday in light and i'm over the moon with, really suits my skin as i'm quite fair but warm tones, even covered my spot  Not too matt which i prefer. But everyones different and so is their skin.
I looked great for a change and i didn't even apply with the correct brush as i'm still waiting for that to arrive, got 2g makeup and a kabuki brush off ebay for about £14 and have watched the QVC vids on how to apply...oh and read the mammoth thread on the subject on here
I don't really wear eyeshadow, but might move onto mineral blusher next, but at the mo i am using just my trusty rimmel one. I've got a bodyshop mascara and don't really rate it....the liquid is very thin, so you don't get that definition, i am looking for another but theres soooo many to choose from.0 -

Liquid foundation cannot be pure mineral
Its foundation which is "mineral enriched"
A nice new term to confuse the consumer into thinking they are buying something they are not
Theres a couple of long standing excellent threads regarding mineral brands on this board already. Have a look for the one titled sheer cover I think0 -
Saw Bare Escentuals in Debenhams this week, they are opening 70 outlets.
Starter kit of Foundation, Warmer, Moisturiser, Finisher stuff , DVD and brushes worth £140 ish, cost £40ish.
Trouble was the consultant's own make-up didn't look good at all, so I declined. Mind having said that, most consultant's look overdone. They really don't need to wear all the company's products at once.0 -

I got some in fenwicks whilst in London this summer and you know if I wasnt already a convert to mineral make up, looking at the woman selling it Id have run a mile :eek:
Mineral make up is supposed to look NATURAL, the woman on the counter was PLASTERED, even managed a tide mark which is nearly impossible to do with mineral makeup. I was after buying the tan which you just need a gentle brush over to make you look sun kissed - she had made herself look like she had been under a sun bed the past 5 years
I do think BE need to look at their consultants and perhaps re train them0 -
ones of the best brands out there 100% mineral.. even without the bismuth that Bare minerals has got in its foundations are EVERYDAY MINERALS... i started with them last year.. and their prices are so cheap too.... from the time i started with them i have seen the company grow stronger and stronger... their brushes are a dream.. everything is in dollars, the change is good for us.
buy 6 productos and get 25% discount... but 12 or more and get 45% discount... read their forum aswell.. the girls there are lovely!.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0
