I jhave heard about mineral makeup and am interested in it. Apparently it not only looks great, lasts ages, and has a SPF and also is better for your skin.
Has anyone used it?
Any tips?

We have an American friend who uses it and she always looks incredibly shiny to me, as if she's wiped oil on her face.Touch my food ... Feel my fork!0

I use it and people tell me I look really healthy.
I love it cos it doesn't irritate my skin and is really quick and easy to use.:A MSE's turbo-charged CurlyWurlyGirly:AThinks Naughty Things Too Much Clique Member No 3, 4 & 5

Gabriel Earnest, it's strange that your friend looks shiny, i thought thats one of the things mineral makeup was supposed to combat.
Brazilian wax, can you recccommend any brands at all? anything i should avoid?

Do be aware that mineral make up contains Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, and these act as a sunscreen or Sun Protection Factor.
People wearing sunscreen or spf make up will not be able to make any vitamin d3 in their Mineral make up covered skin and thus may miss out on it's benefits.

I bought some and although i liked the natural results it was far too drying for my face and by the time i had wore it for a couple of hours i just wanted to scratch my face off.:mad:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I think it's great! I've only used one brand really, "Lily Lolo" http://www.lilylolo.co.uk/home.php
They do cheap samples, enough to use for a week or so at least.
I would say that mineral stuff takes a bit of getting used to, and I think trial and error with different brands is probably needed.
Bare escensuals for example, make quite shiny foundations, (no good for me) but I've recently discovered their finishing powder, and it makes my skin look so much better! really velvety!
also, RE: the built in sunscreen, you would have to put it on very thick for that to be totally effective. Anyway, if you're as pale and sunburn prone as me, you'll be glad of that extra bit of spf!
The only thing I haven't managed to get the hang of is mineral concealer. any tips?0 -

But given that your face is a relatively small part of your total skin cover, surely this isn't a big deal??:A MSE's turbo-charged CurlyWurlyGirly:AThinks Naughty Things Too Much Clique Member No 3, 4 & 5

I use Bare Escentuals - not tried anything else but I love it. I don't find it drying or too shiny, and it's never irritated my incredibly sensitive skin.
I buy from the US via ebay.:A MSE's turbo-charged CurlyWurlyGirly:AThinks Naughty Things Too Much Clique Member No 3, 4 & 5
