  • Hi

I have just got some sample from Elemental Beauty so playing around with applying the stuff. I have a Kabuki Brush that I purchased from Elf makeup and this has been find with ordinary bronzers etc. so is this sufficient for the mineral makeup or is worth investing in another brush say the deluxe kabuki brush on elemental beauty, or is there a good set I can get on Ebay or something.

I watched a few You Tube videos to get tips on application as I don't think I put it on quite right this morning.

    Thanks
    D

I use mineral make up from www.eyeslipsface.co.uk

Prices are great, which is always good if like me you fancy trying out a new look but dont want to waste loads of money. Their kabuki brushes are £5 and I personnally cant fault it.

Best mascara I have found is Benefit - Bad Gal

I must say i've had a nosey round ELF and their stuff seems great and they list ingredients and the price is fab.....think i might be going here from now on.

Have you tried all the mineral make up, as i was looking at blushers and the mineral eyeliner, wondered if you had tried these?

Also has anyone had their mascara's as i would rather get it all at once and pay one postage unless they give any codes soon, i have signed up for the facebook page though! Thanks again. :T

Please be very careful buying 'MAC' brushes from Ebay. I'd say 95% of those listed are incredibly good fakes. Unfortunately because they are fake, the bristles are dyed with the cheapest thing going which isn't great when its going on your face! I've read way too many stories of people getting allergic reactions from them. Maybe you got lucky and managed to get a real one but if other people read your post and think ooh I'll get a MAC brush from Ebay, please PLEASE be aware just how bad the situation with fakes is on there.

Thanks for this tip i had no idea and i haven't recieved it yet but i have been having a research on the topic and found this chart on how to compare and see if it is fake, so i will do it and set up a dispute if mine is a fake and get my money back ;) :T

thanks for that, you are correct, I watched some demos on You Tube of how to apply the Mineral Foundation last night, so gave it ago this morning with the Elf Kabuki brush and it has come out really well.

I'm quite impressed with it, just need to play around with the sample now and then order a proper pot.

The demo on You Tube give you some good ideas.

cheers me dears, I'm almost converted.

Prices are fab, for that price I dont mind giving something a try even if it doesnt work out that great!

I have tried the mineral foundation, blusher and eyeshadows and cant recommend them enough for a natural finish.

I have quite tempremental skin lets say, and used to never leave the house without concealer, foundation, powder, the works.

Since using ELF i havent actually bought makeup from anywhere else, only using the odd free mag sample like the Benefit mascara.

I now use the ELF all over cover stick as a concealer, and the minerals foundation. Havent tried the mineral concealer but think the next time I purchase I will give it a try.

The kabuki brush is excellant value for money

sign up for their emails and facebook group, there is usually a free delivery code or money off code around once a month, I imagine in the lead up to Xmas there will definately be something.

    I've just spent my first £15 :D
  • Just wondered if any of you have some tips for covering or stopping redness coming through. I am applying the mineral foundation but do have a bit of redness under my cheeks near my nose. Is there anything I can get for this.

    Thanks

I got some in fenwicks whilst in London this summer and you know if I wasnt already a convert to mineral make up, looking at the woman selling it Id have run a mile :eek:

Mineral make up is supposed to look NATURAL, the woman on the counter was PLASTERED, even managed a tide mark which is nearly impossible to do with mineral makeup. I was after buying the tan which you just need a gentle brush over to make you look sun kissed - she had made herself look like she had been under a sun bed the past 5 years

I do think BE need to look at their consultants and perhaps re train them

    Must be a company directive!

I saw the consultant at a south coast Debenhams yesterday and she was a most peculiar colour. I have just changed my hair from strawberry blonde to bitter chocolate so I need to tweak my make up colours a bit. She caught me staring at her and offered to help. Rather fearing what she would do to me I fled to the safer waters of Urban Decay instead!
