I swear by my mineral make up from Lily Lolo
For concealer powder and foundation it costs me £19 all in and will last me around 5 months. Their stardust finishing powder is fab for a dewy look on nights out. I was originally spending nearly £30 on Estee Lauder liquid foundation before which didn't stay put half the time. With mineral stuff my skin and pores don't feel clogged upI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

As Candyfloss say... you need to try some.
For example I tried Lily Lolo's sample and I thought it was a bit shiny. Though many people on here swear by it!! Again, they send you samples so you can try it out.0 -
I wear bare escentuals and i got mine from ebay...there are some very good trusted sellers selling it just check the feedback and i got a 2g pot for about £8 inc p&p.
I love mine and i like the fact that it has a sheen to it as i think it makes me look more dewy and youthful...which is what i'm after, but everyones skin and tastes are different.
But the mineral make up is lovely to wear, liquids i couldn't wait to wash off, minerals i can't wait to get it on
I use the ELF range mineral blushes though, very cheap and lovely colours. They also do a foundation and others say its good x0 -
Hi op, i have been using mineral make up for 2 years, i have oily skin and dry red patches in my cheeks and a very sensitive skin.
Bare escentuals it is very good but if you have got sensitve skin better to avoid.. it has got bismuth...
the 100% mineral make that i recommend is EVERYDAY MINERALS, it is cost $12 for a big pot (8 grs).. it lasts ages, they do a try me free kit for free, you only pay postage.. around £3, and it is enough to play around for i would say 2 weeks ? you dont really need that much.
if you order more than 5 items you get 25% off, more than 11 items, 45% off... it is a really great brand, read reviews, no chemicals, no perfum ,nothing nasty on them.i have tried a couple of mineral brands and they by far the best ones.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
ones of the best brands out there 100% mineral.. even without the bismuth that Bare minerals has got in its foundations are EVERYDAY MINERALS... i started with them last year.. and their prices are so cheap too.... from the time i started with them i have seen the company grow stronger and stronger... their brushes are a dream.. everything is in dollars, the change is good for us.
buy 6 productos and get 25% discount... but 12 or more and get 45% discount... read their forum aswell.. the girls there are lovely!.
Everyday minerals recently removed their forum. Lots of the lovely ladies have migrated to this forum instead where any brand is up for discussion. They tend to be really helpful with swatches if you want to know how one colour compares to another.Gratitude turns what we have into enough.0 -
Hi girls,
I currently have kabooki brush that came in a kit with my first mineral make up. Now I think I need a new one and I would prefer one with a bit heavier coverage... (kabooki brush is only for light-medium).
Is this the kind of brush that would do the job?

Some people like those ones, I like the stumpier brushes. The best one I bought was a Lili Lolo one. Doesn't shed everywhere and is lovely and soft!I have realised I will never play the Dane!
Where are my medals? Everyone else on here has medals!!0 -
i've heard good things about elf's brushes

kabuku brush: http://www.eyeslipsface.co.uk/product~prodID~88.htm
I keep meaning to order some but i've not got round to it yet so i cant offer much advice. Not much to lose for the price especially if you can find a free delivery code.0 -
I use a kabuki I got for £2 in primark but for heavier coverage i use the primark powder brush (pink handle with white bristles that go pink at the tips) and they are great, really soft and don't shed.
however if you want to spend a bit more money I would go for the Everday minerals flat top brush, you can also add in a 'try me free' kit into your shopping basket! I use everday mineral foundation and I have seen so many good reviews for their brushes...0
